There Is No Peace

The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.

The rumors of war have returned with a vengeance.  Can you hear them?  There is talk of a strike on Iran which in turn would ignite the Middle East and the world into a catastrophic encounter with the Almighty.  It may very well be why US troops are being brought from areas in the Middle East so quickly.  We don't want them caught in harm's way as war begins.  




It is certain that Iran (ancient Persia) and a coalition of Middle Eastern nations have a divine appointment for destruction.  They will be certain of victory as they launch their massive attacks against Israel.  Many of these nations have been using the puppet of the UN to do their bidding.  They trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity--Isaiah 59:4. There are even rumors of a preemptive strike on Iran soon.  Yet, they will meet their ultimate demise on the northern hills of Israel as God shows a world denying HIS sovereign power and glory who is really is in control.

Add to this the threats from Syria, and we have the makings of the war of Isaiah 17.  Syria has threatened on multiple occasions to strike Tel Aviv should the UN or another power seek to interfere with their internal strife. Why Tel Aviv?  Assad knows that even his Muslim enemies would be compelled to attack Israel should he attack.  It is to get the pressure off of himself and redirected.  It would literally set the Middle East ablaze.  God, Himself, will enter the fray and you shall know it when Israel survives! "Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us."  Isaiah 17:12-14



Before you think this nation, the Quartet members, or the UN will get through this unscathed, read that last sentence above again.  "This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us."  Making a de facto nation in the covenant land of Israel and treating Jerusalem like a bargaining chip is an affront to the Almighty.  He will surely remind the world about the reason for His title LORD of Hosts.  "The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name--Exodus 15:3."

Faith or Folly?

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Matthew 25:1-6

Left behind!  This parable has always been one that produces much thought.  What caused the five foolish virgins to be left behind when the Bridegroom called?  Were it just sleeping they would have all been left, but the text does reveal hints as to why these were standing at the door and knocking to get in once it was shut.  Apparently, they were careless with the provision of God, they trusted others for their relationship with the Bridegroom, and they presumed to succeed without God as their source.  


The wise virgins took great care to ensure that they always had sufficient oil since they understood the imminent return of the Bridegroom.  Oil, a symbol of the presence of the Holy Spirit, was necessary for a journey made at night.  In the shadow of the menorah, the oil was the fuel, the gold vessel was symbolic of being in Christ, and the child of God was the wick.  When a candle burns the light is so bright that the wick is never noticed.  It should be that way with all of us when it comes to shining brightly to a lost world sharing the presence of our dear Savior.  However, the foolish virgins were careless with their supply of oil.  Surely worldly pursuits and concerns caused them to be unprepared when the Bridegroom appeared unexpectedly.  They would have done well to heed Ephesians 5:18, "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit..."

How many today sit in churches and presume to know God because a family member or close friend is dedicated to Christ?  Maybe they feel they are OK because they were raised in the church and cut their teeth on the pew. We have all seen it.  There are those who attend church fairly faithfully, but it is not the church nor the people of the church that assures us of salvation.  It is by and through acceptance of the blood covenant of the cross of Jesus Christ alone!  There is no other way.  God has no other means of salvation but the sacrifice of His Son! You will surely die lost if you do not call personally for the Lord to save you.  The foolish virgins looked the wrong way when the Bridegroom's call went out.  They looked to others for help.  They themselves could have been blessed by the Master, but how foolish are those who refuse to be blessed by His presence.  Truly, when the call goes out and the trumpet sounds, they will be left behind.  Don't trust church, friends, family, long standing attendance, giving, good works, nor any other thing for salvation.  The fact that the Bridegroom said, "I know you not" meant that they had no relationship with Him. Trust Jesus!


The poor foolish virgins.  They are reminiscent of the children of Israel that Moses led.  Once they had complained and incurred God's wrath after refusing to take the promised land, they attempted to take the land by themselves without the assistance and blessing of the Lord.  These virgins are those of whom the Lord says, "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity" (Matthew 7:22-23).  Sad virgins!  They came knocking once the door was shut and believed they would succeed without God's blessing.  They want admittance to God's heaven, but they did not care to want or believe His word when the chance was offered them.  

There is a "too late" with God!  When 1/3 of the angels made an unwise choice to follow their worship leader, it was too late. When the door of Noah's ark shut, it was too late.  When the angels left Sodom with Lot, it was too late.  When the children of Israel rejected the word of Caleb and Joshua, it was too late.  Assuredly, when the trumpet sounds, it will be too late to get in to God's heaven without the ultimate sacrifice.  For the majority--it will be too late.  That day is coming, and coming very soon. He is standing at the door and knocking, but when He walks away from it, it will be too late! Jesus Christ is Soon2Come!  Are you ready?  

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

The 11-11-11 Crystal Skulls Failure

And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations; That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar. All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea. Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.

Like the number 11, the number 13 is an ominous number in scripture.  It is always related to rebellion.  Genesis 14 gives the law of first reference use of this number in verse four, "and in the thirteenth year they rebelled."  Twelve is the number of God's righteous justice on earth as brought about by the covenant of grace in Christ.  13 has added a demonic tone to what was perfected in Christ. This sort of rebellion is also associated with defeat as well.  "And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan. And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus" (Genesis 14:14-15).  Victory always, ALWAYS, goes to those in a covenant relationship with God who are not in rebellion.




All rebellion stems from the father of rebellion, Satan.  It was he who convinced 1/3 of the angels to rebel against God, and it was such an ill-fated move!  He was then informed in the Garden of Eden that his "kingdom" would suffer a crushing defeat as his head was crushed by the heel of God's redeemer through the seed of a woman--JESUS CHRIST, the virgin born Savior of creation!  Just as the father of the faithful, Abraham, crushed the rebellion of the kings, Jesus has crushed the head of Satan's kingdom.  

Have you ever taken a timed test?  There is nothing worse than seeing that clock ever advance and you know that you will not finish.  Satan's days are like this always.  He knows that the Blood of Jesus Christ has dealt the death kneel to his work. He knows that his time is growing ever shorter.  He knows that he has an appointment with a bottomless pit for 1000 years.  He knows that the day is rushing towards him when he bows before all assembled humanity as is found in Isaiah 14.  He knows that he is going to be cast alive forever in the lake of fire. So what is he doing today?  Why is their so much evil?  It is the wriggling and squiggling of his dying serpentine body.  He knows his best attempts will end in failure before the GOD who suffers no defeat!  "Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time" (Revelation 12:12).

Why 11-11-11.  It may be because they are trying to curse the godly roots of America.  On 11-11-1620 the Mayflower Compact was signed giving the nation of America to God.  Are these demonic elders trying to curse America on the day of its dedication to God.  Why Los Angeles?  Are they mocking the site of the great outpouring of the Holy Spirit that took place there in 1906 at Asuza Street.  This venture might even seem to prevail temporarily even as Lot was carried off my the 4 kings.  However, there is another event with crystal that these demonically inspired men will need to fear. 



Carry all the skulls you want.  It is reminiscent of the power of darkness  being triumphed over already--Jesus Christ crushed the skull of Satan at Calvary.  "And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it"  (Colossians 2:15). You will someday stand at a crystal sea before whose eyes no sin escapes.  There will be no place to hide.  Every dark deed, every sin, every foolish idea, all rebellion will be exposed.  You will see the fallen angel, Lucifer, bow at the feet of Jesus Christ seated on a Great White Throne as he proclaims Christ "LORD" to the glory of God the Father.  You can escape the judgement--repent and believe in Jesus Christ today.  There is no other way of escape from this fateful judgment before the Crystal Sea.  The demons you are evoking already know their fate--an eternal lake of fire.  You have time so turn to God through Christ. Your rebellion will fail just as the 4 kings failed in their rebellion in the 13th year.  

All those who are Christians--rise up like Abraham did and battle this demonic foolishness in prayer.  The victory was won at Calvary!  Our LORD is Soon2Come and rid all like godlessness from this Earth!

2011--Tragedy Continues

Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it. For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.

Update:  It had already been noted that 2011 is a record year for disasters not only for the US but for the whole world as well.  

It has been just over a month since my last note on this subject.

The disasters are still accumulating!  It seems that the world is reeling and rocking just as the LORD has said. He warned us of earthquakes in diverse places.  The quake intensity seemed to calm down for about a month and then hit again with a vengeance.  First, Papua, New Guinea was hit with a 6.5 on the 14th.  Next, Texas was hit with an unusual quake on the 20th.  Though these two did minimal damage, they are noteworthy.  Especially one in a region that is not accustomed to quakes like Southern Texas.  http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eqinthenews/2011/usb0006alu/


In a period of about 24 hours the world was then rocked by 2 quakes of an intensity greater than 7.0 on the Richter Scale and a 6.1 near Japan.  There was the 7.4 quake that generated a small tsunami off the coast of the Kermedec Islands near New Zealand. Powerful South Pacific Earthquake Generates Small Tsunami - Irish Weather Online   Then came the deadly and terribly destructive quake that shook Turkey.

Since my last note on this topic one of the Canary Islands had to be evacuated for fear of an explosive volcanic eruption. El Hierro began to rattle greatly over the last couple of months.  This volcano is of huge concern since a massive explosion here could send out a very large Atlantic Tsunami.

What about the unusual dust storm in Texas?  This is the second event like it this year.  The other was in Arizona earlier this year.

Thailand is currently experiencing one of its worst monsoon seasons in many decades.  Many surrounding nations are suffering tremendous floods as well including Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines, and Vietnam.  Such awful destruction on such a poverty stricken region! Let's not forget the several hundred that have also died here.

There have been two bird die offs as well reminiscent of Hosea 4.  The source for the death of the birds in Canada seems to be botulism from eating from a fish die off.  Also, birds died in South Carolina and may have been drunk.  Who remembers events like this happening with such frequency and intensity?

False Perceptions

And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
Revelation 3:1

Scripture says, "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death"  (Proverbs 16:25).  Many see attaining heaven as a stair step approach of good works.  This "way" disregards the utter holiness of God and the guilt of even one sin.  How many sins did it take for Adam and Eve to be removed from the presence of God and bring death on themselves anyway?  Just one!  Yet, this verse also deals with false perceptions in many other areas.  It is important that we allow scripture to guide us always as well as ask the Holy Spirit to show us our constant need to stay near the cross.  He needs to help us crucify this flesh daily.


False perceptions  stymie the effectiveness of local churches.  Both Sardis and Laodicea saw themselves with a completely different viewpoint than Christ the Truth saw.  Sardis saw themselves as vibrant, alive, and as a living testimony to God's glory.  The piercing eyes of Christ saw them as near death.  Laodicea, sated with the worlds temporary goods and believing it was a sign of God's blessing, was actually revealed to be wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.  Their lack of discernment about their true spiritual condition led them both to a very poor walk with the Savior.  Again, Jesus is not even seen in the church of the Laodicean's.  Its name, the people's justice or the church of the people, was an apt description.  



Remember, listen to God before you listen too much to what others say about you or your church.  It keeps us on the path that the Lord wants us to walk on.  It is so easy to get caught up with flattery that we lose sight of reality.  Have you ever had a guest preacher or evangelist praise your church as the most loving or most spiritual?  It happens all of the time.  Sadly, these vanities are often said in order to assure a return revival next year, but the truth is that the church or individuals need to be at the altar praying about their critical spirit or lack of spirituality.  What is even worse is when we convince ourselves of our importance or level of spirituality. If not checked by the Word and the Spirit, these type assessments can lead us down a spiraling slope into a worthless witness while we think we are doing so well.  Just a few words of caution that was on my heart and mind.  Blessings!

11-11-11 Confusion Caused By Sin

And thou shalt make curtains of goats' hair to be a covering upon the tabernacle: eleven curtains shalt thou make. The length of one curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and the eleven curtains shall be all of one measure.
Exodus 26:7-8

Eleven!  What a number in scripture.  It adds to the perfection of Divine order seen in the number 10, and it is just shy of God's perfect government seen in the number twelve. In short, it represents chaos, confusion of God's ways, and the confusion caused by sin.  It adds to what God has done or subtracts from what He wishes in right government.

When Joseph was sold into Egypt leaving only 11 sons at home, Israel descended into great anguish until Joseph was revealed to be alive.  His entire family became disorganized, hurt, and confused over the sin that sold a brother into slavery.  While the nation of Israel was at Mt. Horeb, they enjoyed the presence of God.  After an eleven day journey as recorded in Deuteronomy 1:2, the wheels fell off at the rebellion of Kadesh Barnea.  They were left to wander in the wilderness for forty years.  Two of Judah's wicked kings ruled for eleven years, Jehoiakim and Zedekiah.  It was in the 11th year of the reign of Zedekiah that Jerusalem was lost to the Babylonians and the temple was destroyed.  What was worse for Israel than the loss of that temple?  Maybe losing sight of the Son of God who was 3 x 11 at His crucifixion and resurrection.  Whose death was prophesied in the Psalm 2 x 11 or Psalm 22.  Christ the second person of the Trinity associated with the confusion caused by sin in this world.  Thank God!  He has overcome the world.  Also, let's not forget the confusion caused by sin when Judas Iscariot betrayed his Master leaving only eleven of the original apostles.  



So why all the talk about eleven?  It has to do with the significant date 11-11-11.  On this date according to a JPost article,  the UNSC may vote on a Palestinian State.  Talk about confusion caused by sin.  An organization that has left Christ out voting to cast His blood relatives from their God given home land--that is confusion.  It is also a part of prophecy.  It may signal that the eleventh hour of humanity is well under way!  


What a fateful decision. This is a significant date too.  It was the Balfour Declaration that led to the eventual fulfillment of the prophecy of the reestablishment of the nation of Israel.  Chaim Weismann's assistance in the creation of Chordite had greatly helped the British and the Allies in winning WWI.  Lord Balfour issued his famous decree as a result of this achievement making a way for the growing Zionist movement to reclaim the Promised Land.  It also shortened the war and on the 11th day of the 11th month at the 11th hour of 1918 the war ended.  Most see WWI as the tipping of the end time hourglass.  Here again on 11-11-11 we will see what could be the tipping point to the world's collision course with the holiness of Almighty God!


If you are unprepared for the coming darkness caused by the confusion of sin--there is a neat pattern of eleven to address it.   One of the sections of coverings for the tabernacle was a section that was made from 11 panels of goat's hair.  Why eleven?  Notice the placement--five over six.  Five is the number of grace and six, of course, represents man.  God in His infinite grace has covered man.  Man brought sin and confusion--God covered it by the grace of Christ at the cross.  Are you covered by the grace of God offered to you through the blood of Jesus Christ?  If not, ask today as He is truly Soon2Come!

The Justice of the People--Lukewarm

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Revelation 3:15-16

Lukewarm water--nearly good for nothing!  Lukewarm Christianity--just as useless. The people decided that they knew better how to run God's church, so they had put Him out.  It was their plans, their programs, their doctrines, their ideas, and their ways that ran the organization of Laodicea.  God did not want an organization but a living organism.  One that relied on, trusted in, clung to, and lived for the Word of God and the Holy Ghost.  


He still wishes this for His church today, a church that sees its life as wholly dependent on the bloody cross of Calvary.  One that sees the great and overwhelming cost of salvation which Jesus Christ the God/man paid on that cross.  One that loves the Lord their God with all of their heart soul mind and strength.

So what would a lukewarm church look like today?  Maybe it is a church that would rather be entertained than to dig deep into the infinite well of living water.  It would be a church that needed to be pampered and coddled or else they will run off huffy puffy to another fellowship until they find someone who will treat them like the immature believer that they are.  They might be one like the ones discussed in this recent Christian Post article that discussed churches spending more money on making their members happy than seeing the lost saved. Tithing Hits Record Low; Churches Spend More to Make Congregants Happy, Christian News  It is a church that needs to restore its fear of the Lord and the Judgement Seat of Christ.   Judgment Seat of Christ - Leonard Ravenhill - YouTube



What is a lukewarm church.  It's one that hides from the great wickedness of the world for fear of being politically correct or controversial.  While it hides as an ostrich with its head in the sand, the world begins to get darker and darker as the light of Christ is purposefully being hidden.  In a society such as that gross sin and immorality would set in.  Immorality such as:

It seems that there are many signs pointing to a lukewarm church!  What about you?  Are you going to leave Jesus Christ standing at the door or your heart or the door of your church?  Let Him in!  He wishes to sup with you.  You better let Him in--He is Soon2Come!
