Woe To You Says The Lion

Woe to them that are at ease in Zion,...Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near; That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall; That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David; That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.
Amos 6:1a, 3-6

Israel, the Northern Kingdom was spiritually in a mess.  Their leaders were corrupt.  Justice had been perverted and cut off.  The majority were living in careless luxury while the poor and disadvantaged were exploited.  To make things worse, their worship was tainted with worldliness as they lived in reckless indifference towards God.  In this horrid state of affairs, God, in mercy, sends Amos who greatly hampers their irresponsible living with a call to repentance and warnings of impending judgement.  Amos, the LORD's voice to a complacent "church", was desperately trying to get them to hear the warnings and respond appropriately.  Their response, according to the warnings woe of chapter six, was unreflective of the seriousness of the situation they would soon face--total dispersion by the hands of the Assyrians.  A dispersion that has lasted until this generation's regathering.  It is this regathering to the land of Israel that reminds us to be equally reflective as this world is in dire straits with the soon coming Tribulation.

The first problem Amos addresses in this chapter is their careless, worldly living.  Remember, he is addressing a group that sees themselves as the chosen of God.  However, were they "chosen" to be at ease in this world to the point that you could not tell them from the world?  Is this not the same today?  The majority of folks in most churches will tell you that they feel that this is the generation when the LORD will return.  Yet, their lives do not seem to exhibit any conviction in respect to their belief.  They amble on as if we have ten million years while the message of salvation is ignored or not given.  If Jesus is coming soon, who is warning those who are unprepared?  Are we at ease in "Zion"?

Verse three also is telling, and it directly relates to statements that Jesus made about believers in the last day. It says, "Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near..."  Because they were insensitive to the LORD's spirit and message for the hour, they were claiming that the Day of the Lord's judgment by Assyria far off.  Jesus addressed this very same sentiment in Matthew 24.  Read carefully the warning of our Lord and compare it to the same idea shared by Amos:
Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  Matthew 24:45-51

This text from Matthew is directly addressing the end of this age.  Jesus warns with a woe similar to Amos that many will still put the coming of the LORD far off even though the warnings are all around them.  Rather than being sober, vigilant, and ever looking for that blessed hope--the rapture--they are caught up in worldly affairs.  This is the Lion of Judah's woe!  Does it apply to you?  If so, make correction as Jesus Christ is soon to come!

Order From Chaos? The Big Bang

And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Revelation 18:1-4

Most know that the Big Bang Theory is the current model of cosmological origins which many espouse.  While this author does not agree with this theory, the theory does hold that a singularity exploded, cooled, and gave rise to all order from random chaos.  Order from chaos!  This is the very heart of the Hegelian Dialectic.  However, in the dialectic, the chaos is not random but purposeful.  Before I go on, theories come and go but the Word of God stands forever.  It seems that God spoke, BANG, and all there is came into being with a preset order from the Divine mind.  Trust the Word--it will never let you down!

God's word hints to us that a big bang is coming to society.  It will involve three spheres specifically, the political, the economic, and the religious/spiritual.  All three are seen together in the above verses, but these verses are the end of the big bang and not the beginning.  Revelation 18 prophecies the destruction of a one world economic system.  The system is destroyed as its capital, mystery Babylon, is destroyed.  In the prior chapter we see the one world religious system--the whore of Babylon--destroyed by the very men that brought her to power and used the chaos to wage war on the truth in Christ.  Finally, Revelation 19 shows the demise of the one world government leader that arose to power during this "big bang". The Antichrist and the False Prophet are then thrown alive into the lake of fire as Christ returns to reclaim the world He purchased for by His atoning blood.  All three changes lasted only about 7years!  And yet the WORD of GOD continues. Trust the Word--it will never let you down!

Sometime in the very near future, the true father of the Hegelian Dialectic, Satan himself, will ignite the fuse that brings chaos to the earth as a whole.  From the ashes of this mess will come the rise of his false messiah and a one world system of futility.  Already preparations are being made and voices are calling for a united world.  Some want to see nationalism destroyed and the earth governed as a single body of government.  Others are clamoring for a joint worldwide economy with a single currency.  Many are feverishly working on an ecumenical movement that seeks unity of religion with no absolute truth.  The fuse is in place, and the enemy is awaiting one thing--permission from God.  God is the one allowing the big bang.  He is simply giving man what he wants, a society that does not have the LORD at its ruler.  However, in only a few short years, this godless unity of commerce, government, and Christless religion nearly destroys the world.  At that moment Christ returns!  He is the WORD of GOD--you can trust Him!  He will never let you down.  "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1).

Only one piece of the World Trade Center of New York City still stands.  It is a cross that was found standing in the wreckage.  Like so many agree, this seems to be a prophetic message to America.  The nation was dedicated to God at the very site of the world trade center on April 30th, 1789.  This was the date of the First Inauguration of a US President.  After his swearing in, George Washington and the Congress went to the very place of Ground Zero and prayed for the blessings of God in Christ for America.  The nation was dedicated to God that day.  The destruction of 9/11 reminds us that strength, might, and power come from the LORD.  When America took a hit to its economy and defense on that day--only the cross was left standing.  Trust the Cross of the WORD of GOD, Jesus Christ--it will still be standing when this world dissolves in fervent heat!

There is a big bang coming that will result in the rise of a one world system,  but it is a short lived blast.  There is another Kingdom whose King is eternal, and His Kingdom endures forever.  It is not founded on order from chaos as was Satan's kingdom.  It is order from an Old Rugged Cross.  It is God who is allowing the shaking!  Only those who are holding onto Jesus will be left standing!  Jesus Christ is Soon2Come and His Kingdom cannot be shaken!  Trust the Word--HE will never let you down!

And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.
Hebrews 12:27-29

Order From Chaos?

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Matthew 24:35

In the midst of His teaching on the Last Age, Jesus takes time to give a serious reminder about the word of God being more stable than the universe around us.  Isaiah also commented on this same thought.  There will come a day when the heaven and earth will be destroyed by God's command only to be recreated again without anything remaining which reminds one of this current sinful universe (Isaiah 34:4).  Of this, that Apostle John said, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea (Revelation 21:1)."   The Word will outlast all time, space, and matter. It is that unalterable rock upon which mankind can trust.

Why, then, did Jesus address the thought of the Bible being a solid, immutable foundation in His teaching on the end times?  Surely, it had to be due to the many attacks against the word of God as well as addressing a time when many will compromise the word of God rather than stand firm in its veracity.  Jesus understood that many would compromise the truth of God's word in a time of chaos and upheaval.  The mastermind behind this would be Satan, himself.  It is imperative to know the truth and to hold onto it tenaciously.  Learn it!  Live it!  Love it!  "Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding (Proverbs 23:23)."  The Bible is well worth the investment of your life.  Buy its truth with your life and do not sell short!

There is a method of changing men's mind that is employed by many daily.  It has been a favorite tactic of many dictators and totalitarian regimes as well as advertisers, media outlets and more.  The name of this tactic is the Hegelian Dialectic.  It is a means of changing the minds of individuals or whole societies by creating dialogue between two opposite parties.  The idea of proposed change is the thesis while its polar opposite becomes the antithesis.  Conflict is then generated between the two opposing ideas in the hopes that compromises can be made--a compromise called a synthesis.  In essence, some feel that it is order from created chaos.  Hegel, a German philosopher, is not the father of this method.  Satan used it first in the Garden of Eden.

God's word was clear!  God's thesis was, "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die (Genesis 2:17)."   Now listen to the antithesis spoken by the father of lies, "Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?... Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil (Genesis 3:1b, 4c, 5)."  The mind of Eve is now in chaos.  Satan's lie has created the desired effect in an attempt to cause a synthesis--compromise.  Eve should have understood that GOD and His word are true and enduring.  Her decision and the subsequent purposeful rebellion of Adam also created by the confusion brought about a synthesis we all are still dealing with.

Name a social issue: homosexual marriage, abortion, mandatory contraception, public displays of crosses, Constitutional rights, etc.  It will be easy to find a vociferous antithesis to each one. Sadly, in the confusion that is created many are compromising their relationship with God and the truth of His word to follow after ever changing public opinion.  Furthermore, it seems that the master architect of this lie is working behind the scenes creating this confusion for his own sinister reasons--a one world government, economy, and religion.  Want proof? Read the following quotes taken from the UN friendly Aquarian Age Community.  It is on a new one world religion:
"It is a challenge to discuss Spirituality at the United Nations. It is a challenge because most people will think that the UN is the antithesis of spirituality. I must report, however, that I regard the United Nations as the most spiritual place in the world today...The synthesizing energy for the world society is focused through the United Nations. It courses through the halls, through the meeting rooms, through the offices of the United Nations. Blessed are those who are fortunate enough to work there for they are in touch with a new reality in the process of descent and manifestation. Hundreds of thousands of applicants are turned away each year from those who want to work there-why? Basically, because they have heard the sound of humanity becoming whole and because they have sensed the new reality and have touched something of the energy of human convergence.
Did you catch the buzzwords?  That is why we need a rock solid unchanging source of truth.  That is why God gave the Bible and has proved its divine inspiration with infallible proofs.  Believe it and don't compromise it.  The Bible will outlast men's fickle moods!  Trust it!  Why? Jesus Christ is Soon2Come!

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Isaiah 40:8

The LION Gives Life

Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel. Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth, Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name: That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress. They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.
Amos 5:6-10

The cost was extreme and the pain nearly unbearable.  Having lived a perfect relationship with God and man, Jesus was beaten and horribly disfigured to the place that he could barely be recognized as a man.  Yet, He was more than a man.  He was God and Man in one person.  It needed to be this way so that the awful and awesome effects of sin could be atoned for.  It is also the very reason that Jesus clearly stated that there is no other means of salvation except Him and why all judgment is given to the Son.  He paid the price, so all who reject that horrendous price will needs face Him as their judge!  Since the grace purchased by the Sacrificial Lamb's passion was spurned, ignored, mocked, and rejected, the Lion of Judah requires justice.

The Prophet Amos reminds of this thought over and over in His work.  With the pronouncement of justice on His lips, he fails not to share a means of escape.  He shares pictures of grace in the face of justice.  In this center chapter of a "doom and gloom" prophet's message we again see the yearning, pleading heart of God calling for man to turn before it is too late.  What mercy!  Have you ever considered that mercy and grace of God who is so holy that the angels shout this continually?  It is this holiness that qualifies all of God's other attributes. Consider five astonishing facts about God's grace given us in Christ.
  • It is gracious that He should be willing to forgive us at all since He is so utterly holy
  • It is amazing that God would even condescend to sinful humanity and share such grace
  • In view of all He has done, it is awesome that He takes time to transform the sinful into saints
  • It is magnificent love that compelled Him to make the terms as easy as simple faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ
  • His grace is ever evident that He is so patient with those who reject such love
Please take time to consider the message found in Amos 5 today!  If you find yourself undone with GOD, don't try to offer him the tainted offering or your good works in a vain attempt to appease Him.  He is too holy for that.  He is the LORD and He shares His glory with no other.  He is Savior, and besides Him there is no salvation.  Fall on the mercy and grace found in Christ before the soon coming wrath of God is poured out!  Accept Christ today!  He truly is Soon2Come!

Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken. Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.
Amos 5:16-17

Understanding the Lion's Warnings

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
Amos 8:11-12

The LORD is very patient in meeting out final justice on any land.  It is obvious that His love compels Him to warn the offenders repeatedly in order to draw those hearing the warnings to a place of humility, repentance, and joyful obedience to His word.  Combine this with the thought that was revealed in Amos 3:6b, "...shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?"  In essence, the Lord pulls down the hedge of protection and allows the guilty nations to see calamity in His attempt to turn hearts towards home.  If repeated catastrophe strikes, it would make sense to pray for wisdom.  The question needing asked is: "Is this due to sin or is this  just part of life in a fallen creation?"  It would also make sense to turn to the word and look for similar precedent.  No matter how bad the sin of a nation is, God always sends warnings.  Anyone remember of the story of Jonah and wicked Nineveh?

In chapter four, as mentioned in The Lion Warns, the Lord sent 5 groups of warning "roars" intended to draw the peoples attention back from the folly of sin to their relationship with God.  In each warning, it was said, "yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD."  These warnings were:
  • Famine--Amos 4:6
  • Selective drought--Amos 4:7-8
  • Blight, mildew, and insect predation--Amos 4:9
  • Pestilence, military loss, overwhelming stench--Amos 4:10
  • Total overthrow--Amos 4:11

Amos 8 reveals that there is a spiritual parallel to famine in the land, and it is not a famine of food, but of God's word.  Remember, we live by every word which proceeds from God.  As an example that could be applied to many formerly Christian nations, let's apply these 5 warnings as spiritual parallels to my home, America.   Those of you reading overseas, remember, this may be seen in your land if you look for the warnings.  Especially those of you in Europe!  Indulge me if you will.

  • Famine--the entire truth of God is no longer proclaimed, and when it is, it is immediately attacked.  When have you last heard sermons on salvation, eternity, the 2nd coming of Christ, Hell, repentance, justice, and judgment?  Rather, we hear fluff and stuff!  "Pamper me and prosper me, Oh Lord!"  There is already a famine of truth in the land.
  • Selective drought--The days of national revival seem to be gone.  We get selective "outpourings".  Yet, the last one that Christians ran all over the country to attend ended in disgrace as one of the leaders was found to be committing adultery.  Saying this, I am still holding out for the promise of the Latter Rain, but it will only come to those who walk in truth and desire holiness of life.
  • Insects are always shadows of demonic activity, and blight and mildew are representative of a corruption to the fruit and work of the church.  Do I need to say much more?  Empty altars, heresy, compromised lives, half-truths.....
  • Fallen soldiers--the nation is filled with burnt out, fallen down servants of the Lord.  Many have fallen to ill gotten gain, sexual sin, pride, compromise....   Again, need more be said?
  • Overthrow--whole denominations that once were bastions for and standards of witness, testimony, and holiness are now wallowing in filth like dogs returned to vomit and washed pigs returned to mire!  Many churches in Europe have been changed to mosques--that is overthrow!
We need to look again unto Jesus.  We were not called to be sated with worldly pleasures, but to be light in darkness.  Paul actually prayed for hedges to be pulled down so that men would turn towards Christ.  Our hedge is down and the Lion is roaring.  Can you understand what you are hearing?  Pray for understanding as Yeshua HaMashiyach is Soon2Come!

Placating A Lion?

Come to Bethel, and transgress; at Gilgal multiply transgression; and bring your sacrifices every morning, and your tithes after three years: And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
Amos 4:4-5

"Go ahead and worship all you wish; however, I hate your charade!"  In essence, this is the very message God gave Amos. The people of Israel continued on in worship as if nothing was wrong.  They saw no reason to walk in humility nor strive for holiness nor uphold justice to the impoverished in their relationship with the LORD.  They continued on in sin while praising a holy God.  Such a dichotomy!   They felt that they could go to the "church", jump, shout, sing, and worship, thereby doing God a favor for even being in "worship", while they continued to live self-centered, fleshly, sinful lives.  Surely God was not smart enough to see past the religious fantasy world they had created.  He surely could not see the wickedness and contempt for Him that they held in their unregenerate heart?  They were only placating a LION!  Consequently, The LION was ashamed to look on their sin.

The many sins of Israel were clear. The worst was forgetfulness. They had forgotten that they were chosen to be better than the world, to be a witness to those without hope.  As the chosen and redeemed, they were set free from Egypt to be a light in the world.  However, those redeemed are responsible to live according to the purposes the LORD outlined to them in His covenant with them. They had gotten so far from His word that they were trying to sin and worship at the same time.  Let's look at one example found in Amos 2:8.  "And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar..."  Exodus 22:26 required that an outer garment taken from a fellow Israelite had to be returned at night so the poor owner would not be cold nor oppressed.  However, the elite were taking the coats and actually laying beside the altar on them in the hopes that sleeping there would allow them to have a vision from God.  This was a normal practice in that day.  God was more concerned about injustice than giving a cruel, unforgiving person a fresh revelation!  The offender should have read Exodus 22:27! "For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious."

Thank the LORD that today's church is not like those stubborn, hard-headed Israelites who were trying to placate the LORD with false worship!  Or are we?  We surely would not sin so presumptuously!  Or would we?  God's word to them was actually a judgment on their sins of presumption.  The temptation would be to explain away their behavior by pointing to their empty and vain "service".  It would be hard for them to deal with their sin in meekness and humility.  Is God allowing this today?  Are we like the Laodicean Church?   Are we sinning and worshiping  simultaneously while thinking all is OK?  Is the LION even at the door attempting to get our attention?

Do you not understand that we too are a chosen people called to strive for holiness (see 1 Peter 2:9-10)?  Can you not see that God is more concerned about brokenness and humility than He is with empty worship?  Think about it!  We practice and practice for the performance of worship, but do we struggle in prayer for the presence of God in worship?  Performances are nice.  They can make you weep, and smile, and elicit a wide range of emotional responses, but like the false worship of ancient Israel--it can be deceptive.  Emotinal responses and false worship can even be  claimed to be "in the Spirit"!  Which spirit is it?  Is it God's HOLY SPIRIT? If you are not breaking through in prayer and seeking the face of God wholeheartedly, your worship may not be acceptable to this God with whom we have to deal!  "Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel."  Amos 4:12

Do you not realize that Christ can see through all pretense?  You see God is God!  As God He is utterly all knowing!  That is why we call Him the Omniscient One.  Rend your hearts and not your garments.  Turn to Jesus as He is an glorious advocate and mighty to save!  DO it now--He is Soon2Come!!

I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies. Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.  Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols. But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
Amos 5:21-24

The Lion Warns

Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
Amos 4:12

Imagine a lion with its prey in sight.  Can you see it as it stealthily stalks its prey?  What one thing would the lion not do if it were preparing to strike?  It would not roar!  Yet, in the message of Amos, God is seen as roaring multiple times.  Amos even begins his oracle with this revelation of God as a roaring lion, "The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem..." (see Amos 1:2).  It is this roar, this warning to the prey that exposes the loving heart of God.  He does not strike without extending grace to those who are His target.  He roars as a means of allowing an escape from His attack.  The LORD would rather see the backslider flee to an altar in repentance for sin than to strike and bring suffering.  This is the heart of a loving Savior who always has redemption in mind.  The LION roars to warn.

The fourth chapter reveals five roars of grace (five is the biblical number signifying grace) where the Lion has roared in an attempt to make the children of Israel flee.  His purpose in sending these warning judgments is clear, God is trying to turn the people away from wrath to the place of grace and mercy. It would be easily understood if the children of Israel had pondered the questions posed in chapter 3:6, "Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?"  God has let their hedge of protection down.

Many critics of the Prophet Amos mention him as a doom and gloom prophet; however, a close and prayerful reading shows many pictures of grace.  While he is tough at times--like calling the wives of the elite "cows of Bashan"--his Holy Spirit inspired work shows that God yearns for us to draw to him when we are erring.  Consider the rest of chapter four.  God allowed them to have meaningless worship while their altars remained empty.  They loved to worship, but it was worship compromised with sin and rebellion.  As a result, there was no bread and no rain.  Is this not like today?  Many are shouting and whooping and hollering their praises while living a compromised life.  As a result, the bread of God's word and the presence of God's rain (the Holy Spirit) are withheld from the service.  If church is all about a shout while the altars remain empty of repentant sinners or saints crying out in prayer for a lost world, maybe it is time to listen for a warning roar?  "...yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD (Amos 4:6, 8, 9, 10, 11, )."  Can you hear his warning roar?

Rather than a national revival in nations where the Gospel once thrived, we have small regional revivals where God's presence moves for a short time.  Have you not seen revivals where hungry and thirsty believers drive hundreds of miles at great personal expense just to see the LORD move briefly?  Wouldn't you rather have a move where the rain of God's presence falls across the land?  This regional move scenario is portrayed in Amos' revelation.  "And also I have withholden the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered. So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD (Amos 4:7-8)."  God is roaring, "Return to the altars of your hometown, repent, plead, pray for the latter rain."  Can you hear His warning roar?

From lack of bread and rain to mildew, caterpillars, scorching winds, plagues, and loss in battle, the LORD was trying to warn them to flee to Him before He finally allowed them to be deported and dispersed by the Assyrians.  We know that Israel did not heed the call at that time.  In mercy and as a part of God's plan, we are seeing these tribes returning home now as was promised.  As a result, this is a loud roaring for the entire world--the Day of the Lord is near upon all heathen (Obadiah v.15). This is an assurance that God will do what He says He will do.  He keeps his promises as far as redemption is concerned.  Beware, however, He also keeps His promises of justice on the unrepentant who will not heed His warning roars.  How about you--can you hear His warning?  Deal with your sin quickly while the Lion of Judah is roaring before he begins His charge.  Do it quickly, Jesus Christ is Soon2Come!
