Economic Chaos and the Rise of a One World Economy

Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth. Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you. Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

James 5:1-8

The Book of James is not typically the first book one would think of in the New Testament as containing prophetic information about the time of the LORD's return.  Yet, the last phrase of verse eight clearly gives an indication of an economic nightmare near the coming of the LORD.  Revelation 18 plainly warns of the collapse of the economy of the one world system brought about by the Antichrist just prior to Christ's physical return.  However, could a prior collapse also be the reason for nations ceding their sovereignty to a new worldwide economy that allows the rise of the Antichrist?  Could it be a severe or near total collapse at a global economic level would convince nations and peoples that they need to accept a sole totalitarian worldwide leader as a new hope for international and personal stability?  One thing is for sure, our history books are full of rebellions and revolutions brought about by economic crises where people did just that.  Hoping for a brighter future, they allowed dictators and despots to take control.  The change for the better, however, never followed.  James' warning should be taken to heart as we can see the storms of worldwide unification on the horizon.

About the time of the American Civil War, China was suffering from severe economic problems.  Some of these woes were also the result of natural disasters that were placing a great strain on the economy as well as war with western powers.  Ironically, it was a deluded "Christian" named Hong Xiuquan (This man believed himself to be the younger brother of Jesus Christ) who promised change.  Playing off of the problems of corrupt government and a fragile economy, Xiuquan quickly drew many followers.  What followed was the Taiping Rebellion. It escalated into one of the bloodiest rebellions of all time with some estimates of 30 million deaths.  Though this rebellion ended in defeat, it serves as an example of the type of confusion the Bible clearly speaks about in the last days. This rebellion featured a false Christ who took advantage of economic and political confusion for his own gain.   Unlike Hong Xiuguin's failed experiment, others have succeeded  in thoroughly changing society while robbing citizens of their rights and freedoms in order to bring a new order.

About 80 years later, a man named Adolf Hitler also stepped onto the world stage during a time of great economic confusion.  Like Hong Xiuquan, Hitler also promised a new millennium of change.  The economy of Germany was in a shambles.  The picture above shows German children building a pyramid with the devalued and worthless Weimar Marks prior to Hitler's meteoric rise.  Grasping for a change in government and economy, the German people accepted a wicked ruler who also brought tragedy to the entire world.  In doing so, they also entered into Hitler's personality cult that paid homage to a man seen as a savior.  There probably is no greater shadow of the Antichrist outside of scripture as Adolf Hitler.  However, Hitler will seem like a novice when compared with the real thing.  The earth will experience unprecedented deaths, and it seems to be just around the corner.  He, too, will rise promising order from chaos, but it was chaos purposefully staged to rob men and nations of their freedoms and rights.

No wonder James tried to warn those trusting in riches over trusting in Christ near the last days before the Lord's return.  So where is your trust?  Is it in Christ or mammon?  Trust Jesus!  He is Soon2Come!  His kingdom will bring the stability you are looking for.

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

A Prophetic Look at Israel and the Donkey

And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him. And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither. And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him. And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt? And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go. And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.  And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.

Mark 11:1-7

As was noted in the post The Donkey's Gospel, a donkey was eligible for redemption by the sacrifice of a substitutionary lamb.    Unclean animals could be redeemed by money or goods.  The firstborn of all clean animals had to be sacrificed.  Only the donkey could be redeemed by blood. Other than man, only a donkey could be redeemed in such a manner.  This fact itself should lead one to wonder if there is a deeper meaning to the plight of a donkey in scripture?  While we see the story of any human's redemption in the story of the donkey, there is also a prophetic look at the nation of Israel further under the surface of this Bible type and shadow.

Israel should have discerned the prophetic significance of that Sunday 2000 years ago when the long awaited Messiah rode into Jerusalem on a donkey.  There was Jesus on the back of an animal that already had a symbolic cross on its back.  Think about it.  What were the chances that the prophesied Savior would ride into Jerusalem on an animal that bore a cross from creation?  Jesus was the meek and lowly Savior destined for the place where atonement would be made.  Whether they realized the significance of the event, Israel choose the Lamb of God with shouts of, "Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest (Mark 11:9-10)."  Like His human forefather, David, Jesus too rode into town riding on a donkey.  David showed the type of the cross in the first coronation ceremony of his reign.

Like the donkey of Mark 11, Israel's national rejection of Messiah has left her bound at a place where two ways meet.  Paul understood this significant event when he penned the following two verses in Romans 11:25 and 28, "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in...As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.  That last sentence shows the love of God and the gracious heart of the Father--they are beloved.  Jesus will soon speak for stubborn Israel and release her from the bondage brought about by another master.  

Paul also understood that God has not finished with Israel yet.  She is bound in the very same land from whence she came just as all of the prophets have shared.  She is bound by world opinion and satanic attitudes.  Satan is using everything he can to hurt Israel as he thinks that destroying Israel will be a way to prove that God is incompetent and without strength to bring about His promises.  He uses replacement theologians, murderous terrorists with the zeal of false religion, the UN, the media, the governments of gentile nations, and a long list of ways, means, and methods to demonize Israel and the Jewish people.  Truly, this tiny nation is bound at a place where two ways meet--the way of the World and the place of God's appointment.  It would be sad were this the end of the story.

However, very soon a command will be shouted. It was a shout heard in ancient Egypt.  It will be a shout from the Prophet like unto Moses.  Christ will shout, "Let my people go!"  The period between Zechariah 9:9 and 10 has two thousand years between it.  In verse 9, we see Christ coming as the meek and lowly savior riding on a donkey.  However, in verse 10 we see Christ returning and establishing a reign of peace.  "And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth."  He will destroy all the implements of war and establish a reign of peace.  He will speak peace to the heathen!

Israels future will be a glorious one.  Genesis 49:9-10 says that Christ will bind His donkey to the choicest vine. No longer will they be bound to wretched conditions, but Israel will be bound to blessings.  Zechariah noted that Israel will be like bright shining gems.  What a glorious day!  It is truly a day Soon2Come! Are you ready for it.  If not, choose Christ today as your personal savior!  While you are praying, pray for the peace of Israel.  Pray for the soon return of the Prince of Peace!

And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they [shall be as] the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land. For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids.

The Donkey's Gospel Story

Mark 11:1-7

The living word of God is amazing.  If you look hard enough and pray for insight it is possible to find the gospel of Jesus Christ on every page from Genesis to Revelation.  The story of the donkey Jesus procured to ride on his triumphal entry into Jerusalem is no exception.  Let's consider the donkey's gospel story:

All donkey's live in the shadow of the cross.  On their back is a cross shape that is reminiscent of the LORD's cross and His being carried by the donkey as an old legend goes.  However, there is more than legend in the scripture. According to Exodus 13:13, they are animals specifically named as being redeemable by the sacrifice of a lamb. Therefore, every donkey was of value.  So is every human being that has ever lived.  Like the donkey, every man, woman, and child must be redeemed by the blood of Christ the Lamb.  Please understand that Jesus died for all humanity!  Most think it was just a special thing He did for Christians, but scripture assures us that He was crucified to redeem whosoever will call on Jesus to be saved!  "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."  1 John 2:2  The cross reminds us all that we need salvation and there is no other source than the Crucified Savior of Mt. Calvary.  We live in the shadow of the cross.

Donkey's are wild and untamed by nature.  Each gospel writer also assured us that the one ridden by Jesus was un-ridden, so there should have been some problems with riding this mount.  Jesus himself said, " ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat."   Not only was Christ successful in riding this unbroken animal,  He rode it through a cacophony of noises that should have caused even more problems for the LORD on this ride.  Jesus' very presence is able to tame the most wild and wretched of sinners.  Let me be one that is a witness to this power of the great Peacemaker.  He tamed a wretch like me, and He can do it for you.  Even in the storms of life, Christ brings peace and rest and a spirit-filled, fruitful, tamed nature.  He takes that which is wildly sinful by nature, and through the power of His regenerating blood, He creates a new nature of righteousness and true holiness.  Only Jesus can do this.

Where was this untamed donkey when the LORD's apostles found him?  God's creature was in the possession of another.  Furthermore, the animal was bound and outside.  Unregenerate man is in the very same condition.  Men and women may think they have a wild and untamed nature; however, the truth is that his/her sin has him/her bound by another--Satan.  Those who have not accepted Christ are also outside of the blessings and benefits of God that are only found in Christ.  It takes Jesus to give the powerful command, "Let him/her go!  I have need of that one."  The one who was bound must then be set free!

Did you notice where they found the donkey?  "And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him (Mark 11:4)."  This is where Jesus finds all of us. We are near a door of opportunity at a crossroads between heaven and hell--a place where two ways meet.  One way is the way of the LORD, and the other is the road to destruction.  Do you know what happened to a donkey if it was not redeemed properly?  Here is what Exodus says, "And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem (Exodus 13:13)."   Without the redeeming grace of Jesus we are marked for destruction.  

You, dear reader, are at a place where you have a decision to make.  Will you allow Christ to be Lord of your life or will you head the wrong way and be broken in judgement?  The choice ultimately is yours individually.  So what is your choice?  Do you wish to remain "untamed" yet bound by sin and Satan.  Or do you wish for Christ to speak on your behalf and say to Satan, "loose that one, I have need of him/her"?  The choice is yours.  Choose quickly as the Lord is Soon2Come.

Have you ever noticed how often Jerusalem is in the news?  No matter where one is in the world it seems that this one city dominates the news.  Name any other capital city.  Think back.  Do you hear about that city as much as you hear about Jerusalem?  More than likely you chose your capital city so local news would tend to mention it, but choose a capital city far away and you will see that it is never mentioned as much as Jerusalem.  Why?

Who should control Jerusalem?  Is it an Arab possession?  Should it belong solely to Muslims?  Some seem to think so and are proposing a march to the city this week.

Some feel it should be in the hands of the UN.  Others think that a body such as the Catholic Church should control the temple mount and allow access to all.  Some believe that Jerusalem is the Jewish capital by right.  Most ignore this claim.  Even the US is currently trying to settle this question in the courts even though a resolution was passed in congress recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital city. The options are endless, but none of them have settled nor will settle the problem of Jerusalem.  

Zechariah was shown this very scenario during his ministry.  He wrote that Jerusalem would become a "cup of trembling" and a "burdensome stone"  to the world.  Furthermore, he saw that the nations of the world would all one day be drawn against this one city.  It is clear that we are near the fulfillment of this prophesy.   Satan, the adversary, feels that destroying Jerusalem and the Jewish people will show that God does not have the power to keep His promises.  This is the reason for the untold millions of Jews that have been killed in pogroms, persecutions, and holocausts.  It is also the reason that Jerusalem is the target of his rage.  As the "god of this world", he will marital humanity in a vain attempt to destroy the city and its people repeatedly.  His greatest attempt will come near the end of the Tribulation as the armies of the world meet at Armageddon to solve the question of Jerusalem.

What the adversary does not realize is who really controls Jerusalem.  Who does it belong to?  Zechariah also was clearly shown who Jerusalem belongs to in Zechariah 2:12.  It belongs to Jesus Christ.  Jerusalem is the city where he was crucified, buried, and where He rose from the dead.  As the heir of King David destined to reign forever, it is His capital city.  Furthermore, it is the place where He returns with the saints and angels.  Jesus, Son of David will do just what David did, rid Jerusalem of squatters.  Christ, as God the Son will choose Jerusalem from which to reign. Jerusalem belongs to the LORD!  He will meet the final invaders in one great bloodbath at the end of the Tribulation.  It is Christ who will then enter the Eastern Gate and restore the Temple of God. Things will get worse for this city before it gets better, but rest assured, this city is Christ's.  Praying for its peace is both a command and a request for the return of the Prince of Peace!  It is the very place where Jesus Christ is Soon2Come!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

The LION and Intercessory Prayer

Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small. The LORD repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord GOD.

Amos 7:5-6

What a merciful Savior.  The LORD has roared his warning in order to find those who will turn to Him.  In his attempt to warn an erring people of impending judgment, He has chosen a prophet who is also an intercessor.  Isn't that the way that it should be?  Should not those who see the dangers of the just actions of God on a sinful people call out for mercy on the very persons that they have been sent to warn?  This was the heart of the prophet Ezekiel, "Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel (Ezekiel 11:13)?"  It was the heart of the weeping prophet Jeremiah.  It was also the very thing that God rebuked Jonah for not having--a merciful heart of intercession.  "And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle (Jonah 4:11) ?"

In chapter 7 of the Book of Amos the prophet is shown visions of judgment on Israel.  In each instance the heart of a prayer warrior comes through.  Though Amos understands that the Lion, God our Savior, must deal with sin, Amos calls on God to be merciful.  Verses 1-3 seems to be an allusion to dealing with the political corruption in the administration of Jeroboam II.  Amos is asking to God judge their sin only as far as is needed to bring correction.  God answers with mercy.  Amos pleaded that God would not reduce the numbers of Jacob (Israel) to the point that they could not recover, and again God answers with mercy.  The question should then be who's heart are we really seeing?

There is no greater picture of the heart of God than the person of Jesus Christ--Emanuel, God with us!  At a time when most would seek to call down judgment from God, we see the LORD crying out for mercy.  At the cross where He purchased our salvation by His precious life's blood, He prayed for those who nailed Him to the cross.  Listen to the words of the heart of the Lion who warns repeatedly before He comes with justice, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do (Luke 23:34)."  Had you been whipped, beaten, mocked, punched, and nailed to a tree by the hands of cruel men, would you have been as gracious?  God's heart is one of mercy even in times of justice.  He does what He must but exacts no more.  What a merciful GOD!

The prophet Ezekiel warned us of a battle near the coming of Christ in chapters 38-39 of his work.  Most call it the battle of Gog/Magog.  Just last week, one of the primary countries involved, Russia, moved troops into Syria as a "peace keeping" force.  Russian Anti-Terror Troops Arrive in Syria - ABC News  Again, think of the mercy involved here.  This stunning prophecy that has all of the nations mentioned aligning themselves for the first time in world history is another example of the intercessory warning of the Lion of Judah.  Around 83 percent of the soldiers who attack Israel in that day, a day coming soon, will be destroyed.  Yet there is God's warning that has been in place for over 2000 years.  What mercy!  As we see the impending judgments fall, the heart of a true "prophet" will cry out in prayer for those in harms way.  Christ's servants will pray with the heart of a lion while sharing the message of the Lamb of God.  They act like their Lord Jesus who is Soon2Come!

Woe To You Says The Lion

Woe to them that are at ease in Zion,...Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near; That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall; That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David; That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

Amos 6:1a, 3-6

Israel, the Northern Kingdom was spiritually in a mess.  Their leaders were corrupt.  Justice had been perverted and cut off.  The majority were living in careless luxury while the poor and disadvantaged were exploited.  To make things worse, their worship was tainted with worldliness as they lived in reckless indifference towards God.  In this horrid state of affairs, God, in mercy, sends Amos who greatly hampers their irresponsible living with a call to repentance and warnings of impending judgement.  Amos, the LORD's voice to a complacent "church", was desperately trying to get them to hear the warnings and respond appropriately.  Their response, according to the warnings woe of chapter six, was unreflective of the seriousness of the situation they would soon face--total dispersion by the hands of the Assyrians.  A dispersion that has lasted until this generation's regathering.  It is this regathering to the land of Israel that reminds us to be equally reflective as this world is in dire straits with the soon coming Tribulation.

The first problem Amos addresses in this chapter is their careless, worldly living.  Remember, he is addressing a group that sees themselves as the chosen of God.  However, were they "chosen" to be at ease in this world to the point that you could not tell them from the world?  Is this not the same today?  The majority of folks in most churches will tell you that they feel that this is the generation when the LORD will return.  Yet, their lives do not seem to exhibit any conviction in respect to their belief.  They amble on as if we have ten million years while the message of salvation is ignored or not given.  If Jesus is coming soon, who is warning those who are unprepared?  Are we at ease in "Zion"?  

Verse three also is telling, and it directly relates to statements that Jesus made about believers in the last day. It says, "Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near..."  Because they were insensitive to the LORD's spirit and message for the hour, they were claiming that the Day of the Lord's judgment by Assyria far off.  Jesus addressed this very same sentiment in Matthew 24.  Read carefully the warning of our Lord and compare it to the same idea shared by Amos:  

Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  Matthew 24:45-51

This text from Matthew is directly addressing the end of this age.  Jesus warns with a woe similar to Amos that many will still put the coming of the LORD far off even though the warnings are all around them.  Rather than being sober, vigilant, and ever looking for that blessed hope--the rapture--they are caught up in worldly affairs.  This is the Lion of Judah's woe!  Does it apply to you?  If so, make correction as Jesus Christ is soon to come!

Order From Chaos? The Big Bang

And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Revelation 18:1-4

Most know that the Big Bang Theory is the current model of cosmological origins which many espouse.  While this author does not agree with this theory, the theory does hold that a singularity exploded, cooled, and gave rise to all order from random chaos.  Order from chaos!  This is the very heart of the Hegelian Dialectic.  However, in the dialectic, the chaos is not random but purposeful.  Before I go on, theories come and go but the Word of God stands forever.  It seems that God spoke, BANG, and all there is came into being with a preset order from the Divine mind.  Trust the Word--it will never let you down!

God's word hints to us that a big bang is coming to society.  It will involve three spheres specifically, the political, the economic, and the religious/spiritual.  All three are seen together in the above verses, but these verses are the end of the big bang and not the beginning.  Revelation 18 prophecies the destruction of a one world economic system.  The system is destroyed as its capital, mystery Babylon, is destroyed.  In the prior chapter we see the one world religious system--the whore of Babylon--destroyed by the very men that brought her to power and used the chaos to wage war on the truth in Christ.  Finally, Revelation 19 shows the demise of the one world government leader that arose to power during this "big bang". The Antichrist and the False Prophet are then thrown alive into the lake of fire as Christ returns to reclaim the world He purchased for by His atoning blood.  All three changes lasted only about 7years!  And yet the WORD of GOD continues. Trust the Word--it will never let you down!

Sometime in the very near future, the true father of the Hegelian Dialectic, Satan himself, will ignite the fuse that brings chaos to the earth as a whole.  From the ashes of this mess will come the rise of his false messiah and a one world system of futility.  Already preparations are being made and voices are calling for a united world.  Some want to see nationalism destroyed and the earth governed as a single body of government.  Others are clamoring for a joint worldwide economy with a single currency.  Many are feverishly working on an ecumenical movement that seeks unity of religion with no absolute truth.  The fuse is in place, and the enemy is awaiting one thing--permission from God.  God is the one allowing the big bang.  He is simply giving man what he wants, a society that does not have the LORD at its ruler.  However, in only a few short years, this godless unity of commerce, government, and Christless religion nearly destroys the world.  At that moment Christ returns!  He is the WORD of GOD--you can trust Him!  He will never let you down.  "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1).

Only one piece of the World Trade Center of New York City still stands.  It is a cross that was found standing in the wreckage.  Like so many agree, this seems to be a prophetic message to America.  The nation was dedicated to God at the very site of the world trade center on April 30th, 1789.  This was the date of the First Inauguration of a US President.  After his swearing in, George Washington and the Congress went to the very place of Ground Zero and prayed for the blessings of God in Christ for America.  The nation was dedicated to God that day.  The destruction of 9/11 reminds us that strength, might, and power come from the LORD.  When America took a hit to its economy and defense on that day--only the cross was left standing.  Trust the Cross of the WORD of GOD, Jesus Christ--it will still be standing when this world dissolves in fervent heat!

There is a big bang coming that will result in the rise of a one world system,  but it is a short lived blast.  There is another Kingdom whose King is eternal, and His Kingdom endures forever.  It is not founded on order from chaos as was Satan's kingdom.  It is order from an Old Rugged Cross.  It is God who is allowing the shaking!  Only those who are holding onto Jesus will be left standing!  Jesus Christ is Soon2Come and His Kingdom cannot be shaken!  Trust the Word--HE will never let you down!

And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.
