Obama, Netanyahu, Abbas to hold summit It appears we have not seen nor understood the seriousness or power of the LORD. Please pray! America needs God!
The Days of Awe
The Jewish Holiday of Rosh HaShanah ends this evening at sundown, and then the 10 Days of Awe begin which lead up to Israel's high holy day of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. Last year the Bush Administration was exerting extreme pressure on Israel to give up the West Bank, the Golan Heights, and East Jerusalem. A part of God's covenant and unconditional promise to Abraham and Israel was recorded in Genesis 12:3, "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed."
We know that God fulfilled a portion of this through the atoning death of His Son because "God so loved the world..." The blessings and curses also are well documented throughout history as a testimony to God's faithfulness to his promises. So what happened last year on these days?
September 25th Bush meets with members of Congress and Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the division of Jerusalem.
September 29th--Rosh HaShanah The stock-market took a 777point nosedive.
September 30th to October 8th--The Days of Awe The stock market posted its worst 10 days since the crash of 1929, the beginning of the Great Depression
October 9th--Yom Kippur The stock market plunged 679 points.
October 15th--Sukkot or The Feast of tabernacles saw a 737 point drop.
God Almighty means what He says and He always keeps His promises. We would do well to heed Zechariah 12:2 "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah [and] against Jerusalem."

Rosh Hashanah
Today's Reading Leviticus 23:24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
Today is the Jewish feast of Rosh HaShanah. This feast seems to symbolize some future event that has a trumpet sound attached to it. Seeing that we are very close to the events that are outlined in the book of Ezekiel 38-39, this may be the next sound that you hear if you are a believer in Jesus the Messiah.
If you are not a believer, this is the beginning of sorrows for you. The anti-Christ will soon start his dominance of the world. Have you noticed all of the articles about a one world government lately? How about the articles calling for the fall of the dollar and a new world currency? Maybe you have noticed the belligerent leader of Persia, also known as Iran, calling for the destruction of Israel? These are not obscure events. Anyone paying attention can read about them in the news and read of these events in the prophecies of the Holy Bible.
That heavenly trumpet is the next hope of every believer. On that precious day the saints both living and dead are called home to be with Christ forever. This could very well be the day!
Are you prepared to go? It is easy! Call on Jesus to save you and wash you in blood He shed for you on Calvary. No matter when the actual event comes, make the choice to serve Jesus today!
