A Black Horse and Total Control

"And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine." Revelation 6:5-6

The black horse will bring a terrible time of famine to the earth. Millions will pine away and die for lack of bread to eat. The measurement and price of wheat indicates that a man will have to work an entire day for just enough grain to make about four biscuits. That is only enough to feed himself but not the rest of the family. Since selfishness is the very root of all sin, many will choose to work to feed themselves and allow their families to starve. Barley is a grain that is found primarily in horse feed and other animal foods. Many will be left to eat the grain of an animal.
The care at which these grains are measured also indicates that there will be government rations on the purchase of food. The food ration stamps of the world war era is a good foreshadow of what is about to happen. The below news article is also a reminder that the government of the anti-Christ will totally control every aspect of life. No one will buy or sell without the mark.
This system and the total control are on the horizon. Every time you go to the store and they scan each item or an alarm rings as a scanner picks up a tagged item from someone departing without it being desensitized, remember the time of tribulation is near. During the last portion of the tribulation, RFID chips in each item will be scanned and the purchaser’s information will also be scanned and their account charged upon exiting the store. There will be no need to hire security nor check out personnel as it will be impossible to leave the store without purchasing any item. There will be no more shoplifting, but no more freedom, and a mark that guarantees hell. The news is reminding us that the horses are chomping at the bits. Are you ready? Jesus Christ is soon 2 come!

Against The Third Day

"And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes, And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
Exodus 19:10-11

Are you ever asked how you know that Jesus is about to return? It is a fairly common question with answers too numerous to mention. One key response is the reestablishment of the nation of Israel. This little country is God's prophetic timepiece and its existence shows humanity that we are near the return of the Messiah Yeshua. However, the concept of the third day as it relates to Israel is also important sign. Let's take a look.

God gave two important hints to the children of Israel about their future. One comes form these verses in Hosea 6:1-2. "Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight." The message is clear. Israel has sinned and God has smitten them for two days, but in the third day He will resurrect them spiritually. "We will live" suggests that they will have fellowship with the source of life itself, Jesus. Therefore, the nation will have a revival. Paul said all Israel would be saved. (Romans 11:26) Peter gives us a bit of insight in order to unravel this prophecy. Here is what he says. "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." 2 Peter 3:8. These two days are prophetic days; two 1,000 year days. God destroyed the nation of Israel two thousand years ago and He is about to resurrect the nation spiritually as is prophesied in Ezekiel 37 also. First they will be a revived secular nation, but God will eventually breath the Spirit of Life in them.

Jesus was resurrected on what day? The third literal day. We know that he ascended into heaven and that He has promised to return. However, Jesus has been dead to the majority of Jews for two thousand years or two prophetic days. He is about to return and fulfill the promise of restoring that nation spiritually and be "resurrected" before them as they weep over two thousand years of unbelief. He reigns for a "day" or one thousand years. Just like the rock outside His tomb that began to rumble as the Son of Man moved towards it on that third glorious day, the world is starting to shake as Jesus is moving closer to the door of heaven to show all that He is evermore alive.

Do you remember what Jesus often said? His accusers had even heard what He said. "And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days." Matthew 26:61 We know that Jesus was talking about His body. He would be dead but rise the third day. However, he also meant the temple. For two thousand years there has been no temple. There will be a temporary one rebuilt soon which the anti-Christ will defile. When Jesus returns there will be a millennial temple during His reign. He will literally rebuild the temple for a prophetic day.

Christian, the above scripture is also an Old Testament type of the rapture. Moses went up and God came down. The people had to have their robes clean against the third day. We have had two days to prepare our garments. The church has been God's voice for two thousand years. Wash your clothes and sanctify your life because now He is saying, "be ready against the third day".

Lawlessness!

"Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you. And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day."
 Matthew 11:21

God had promised the Israelites that they would one day be brought back into their own land and that the old estates (cities) would be restored. A good example of this prophecy is found in Ezekiel 36:11. "And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD." Today we can look on a map and see city names the Apostles would have been familiar with: Nazareth, Jerusalem, Cana, Jericho, Nain, Bethany, and even Bethlehem.

Conspicuously missing from the list of modern towns are Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum. These are the very cites Jesus cursed for not realizing the overwhelming power of God that graciously walked their streets, healed their sick, raised their dead, and preached the everlasting message of redemption. They are a sobering reminder and fearful sign that America needs to wake up!

From the Preaching of Whitfield, Wesley, Edwards. Finney, Moody, and so many others to the outpouring of miracles at Azuza Street, America has repeatedly seen the power of God move like no other nation. Jesus has walked our streets, healed our sick, raised our dead, and preached the everlasting message of redemption through His church by the power of the Holy Spirit. From the modern day evangelists (preaching truth and not fanciful, fleshly interpretations about health and wealth) reaching across the world, we are truly blessed. However, the same spirit that fell on these three cities has descended on this land. Many mock and ridicule the gospel. Our once Christian colleges and universities teach godless philosophies while sneering at the Bible that opened their very doors. Folks have heard the gospel so often that they fail to listen and take it to heart. Others claim to know Christ but fail to manifest the transforming power of Christ in their life. So many are hearing the message and failing to repent. Our nation has heard it, seen it, tasted it, and touched it all before, but has failed to turn to Christ in humble submission and honor Christ as He should be honored. Church we must pray that the eyes of men's understanding in this land be opened to their need for a consistant relationship with Jesus.

If we do not turn, God will judge. Will we be like Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum? Will we disappear from the world scene? Truly, America is conspicuously missing from all references in prophecy dealing with the Tribulation. Where did we go? Turn now, says the Lord, lest our judgment be more severe than Sodom and Gommorah!

Regathered Daily!

"Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders."
 Isaiah 49:22

Wow! This has been going on for sometime and is still currently going on. God told the Prophet Isaiah that the gentiles would someday assist the Jewish diaspora in returning to their homeland. We are currently seeing the unfolding of this ancient prophecy. BUT IT IS ALSO A WARNING!

This amazing God we serve told us that the nation of Israel would one day be reborn by the very people group He had protected. Can the Babylonian return home? Can the true blooded Roman return. No! These people groups have nearly ceased to exist, yet the wandering Jew is returning to the land of promise. This event is a warning that the coming of the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ the Crucified Savior, is soon to happen. Be amazed, but be terrified if He is not your savior! He is not coming back to be brutalized, mocked, spit upon, and nailed to a tree. He is coming back to reign supreme in the Earth. Call on His saving name while there is still time for you!

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
