An Unseasonably Warm Winter's Day Wander

Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
Psalm 56:8

Over that last few days, my thoughts have been continually on the coming of Christ.  There has also been great concern and a deep feeling of sadness woven with anxiety as I consider the calamity that will precede His arrival.  Today was no different.  I found myself wandering in thought quite often and even shedding tears for those who are unsuspecting, those who are victims of this world's evil , and even those caught up in that evil.  Christ is coming and hearts need to be prepared, yet so few seem to catch the warning signs.  Are you awake to the peril before us?  Jesus said that most would not suspect the nearness of the Day of the Lord to their own demise!  Are you watching and wide awake?

While travelling today I saw two different weddings in progress.  One was even outside in a town square gazebo which you would not expect to see on a January day.  Not too much further was a group of good ole' boys pitching horseshoes and having a few drinks outside a local bar. The lady folk were nearby playing a game of corn-hole. There were bar-be-cues, and picnics, and parties.  Several were standing at the bed of a truck outside of one town, telling stories, having some laughs, and drinking a few cold ones as well.  Some were talking with friends on porches--also with a few cold ones--relating the local gossip I suspect. I could not help but wonder if any were looking past the present to eternity?  Did any of them know Jesus and understand the love He has for them or the tears He shed over them? A few tears flowed and scripture came to mind.  "They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all."  Luke 17:27

With all of the adults outside, I expected to see a few children out playing.  I went past one, then two, then three playgrounds but they were empty.  The equipment there was not cheap. On the contrary, it was the best and safest that each town could afford.  There were no children on bicycles nor running in the streets playing tag.  I saw just two very young boys playing in a carport under the watchful eye of their mother sitting in a rocking chair nearby in the entire 1 hour and 15 minute drive.  It's just too dangerous for children to be too far from home or unsupervised nowadays.  They could be abducted in an instant.  It's equally as  dangerous to be an unborn child as well.  I don't remember seeing one pregnant mother.  I began thinking back a few days.  It has been a while since I have seen an expecting mother anywhere. The womb has become a most dangerous place also!  I then reminisced of my childhood when these sites were common--seeing playing children and mothers gleaming with anticipation.  A few more tears flowed and prayers were uttered.  I cried for America and what I don't see in her streets anymore.  "Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not."  Jeremiah 31:15

There were a few teens with some young adults outside standing in a driveway.  Their glares caught my attention as they looked at me in their neighborhood with a hint of suspicion.  What were they up to?  There was a basketball hoop and a soccer ball nearby, but they were not playing.  As I glanced at them, I recognized a few of them.  Some are facing assault charges, some are facing statutory rape charges, and some are facing theft charges.  While they eyed me suspiciously, a couple also wore a look of malice on their faces.  I'll admit, again, I was wondering what they were up to?  Not too much further I saw a young girl hand rolled up money to another teen.  The other reached into her pocket, pulled something out, and handed it to the first girl.  Suddenly, their eyes were on me driving by with a look mixed with fear and suspicion.  I gave a poor performance at acting like I had not seen their transaction. I wondered if they knew Christ and understood His love for them?  Did they know that Jesus died for their crimes against God?   I wondered what misery a Christ-less life held for them ,and wondered how many of the youth of that area would reach old age?  There was a deep feeling of compassion for those so blinded by sin.  Again, tears flowed, prayers were offered, and scripture came to mind--one of my favorites.  One that spoke to me when I was equally as lost and involved in sin and mischief.  "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."  2 Corinthians 5:21

Heading out through the country, I took note of the dark clouds on the horizon and the blue sky above and thought of some advice I'd given recently.  A friend was grieving the suicide of another and dealing with feelings of guilt.  One of her questions dealt with the pain and the tears she shed, so I shared the text verse above a bit paraphrased.  I assured she was crying GOD's tears for Him.  He is continually saddened, angered, and concerned with the sin that destroys so many.  He wants nothing more than for the unsuspecting to pay attention, for the victims to be healed, and the perpetrators of vile acts to be redeemed from a life going nowhere.  Jesus weeps for a lost world!  When we weep too, we shed His tears.  Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?"

Just as I was weeping, a rainbow appeared in the midst of the dark clouds.  I stopped the crying and began to worship.  OK! OK!  Honestly, I cried and worshiped.  I thought of the unsuspecting and looked forward to the day when the knowledge of the LORD will fill the earth.  I thought of the children and looked forward to the day that a child will play without fear again.  I rejoiced for the time when the womb will not be dangerous during the millennial reign of Jesus.  I rejoiced that sin and evil have been dealt death's blow at the cross and that the cross will rid the world of all sin in God's time. The story has a good ending my friends!  Will you be there to enjoy it?  Hurry, don't delay in asking Jesus to let you be there through the pardon of your sin at Calvary--accept His love and the tears He's shed for you!  Hurry, Jesus Christ truly is Soon2Come!

The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Subtleties--Islam, Mormonism, Apostate Christianity, and a One World Religion.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before.
Matthew 24:24-25

One of the more controversial posts here dealt with the prediction that a Mormon might win the Presidency with acclamation from Christians hoping for a return to conservative values in America. During  the time when the post named Subtleties  was written in early September, a Mormon nominee was far behind in the polls.   Things started to change last Tuesday.  As predicted, mostly Christian conservative groups began to praise the fact that two conservatives were neck and neck in the race.  From marriage to anti-murder (abortion) rights, groups rallied behind the recent winner in hopes that his possible administration will help to bring about needed change in America.

Here is a quote from that article:  "My friend, I too want a return to conservative Christian values in America!  Yet, I do not want that revival of values with the  exclusion of the work and person of Jesus Christ.  Revival in America will not come by the hand of a religion that denies He is God's ONLY Begotten Son filled with grace and truth.  Revival will come when Messiah's blood bought redeemed ones return to their prayer closets with all of their hearts.  A revival of morals makes no sense if the source of that morality is not God's whole counsel of truth rightly divided and found exclusively in the Bible.  All a Christless morality will do is cause complacent believers to fulfill Christ's other warning that they will be not watching when He comes as a thief in the night"

The premise of that earlier article was that a Mormon President may well be what is needed to bridge two religious systems that are diametrically opposed with a religion that is a composite of both.  Mormonism is just that religion, it is a mixture of Islam and apostate Christianity.  Before you swing the hammer of "political correctness", there is a great difference between being Bible correct and politically correct.  Political correctness is a man made thought that tolerates to the place of making solid belief in an absolute truth wrong.  It is a modern demonic deception.  "The Bible", as and old quote believed to be from HL Hastings says, "is an anvil that has worn out many hammers."  Biblical correctness and political correctness could not be further away from each other in teaching.  Biblical correctness is based on the truth of God's revelation while political correctness is built on the presumptions of men.  One delivers men's souls.  The other hides false notions under the conjecture of a false truth while destroying men for eternity. If it is a political correctness that you want here, it is best to look elsewhere!

It seems odd that there are those who discuss a fictitious people migrating across the Middle East before disappearing and reappearing in the Americas.  That is just what Mormonism teaches.  Do you know what a familiar spirit is?  It is a biblical teaching about lying spirits that are familiar with a region.  These spirits are the ghosts, and genies, and hob goblins of mythical fancy.  They are also demonic spirits of great deception that leave men with "alternative" explanations to demonic activity.  Look at the map above.  Maybe a group of spirits familiar with the Middle East are behind this concept of a fictitious nomadic people from the very region Islam was conceived in.  This is where Mormons say their ancestors traveled (without any archaeological evidence I might add).  Strange, is it not?

Now isn't Mormonism peaceful and Islam militant?  It has not always been that way.  Research the Mountain Meadow Massacre and you will see the 9/11 event of Mormonism (as compared with the 9/11 event of Islam--interesting!)  Actually, the roots of Mormonism are very violent.  Why do you think they were run out of Ohio and other places in those early years?  They could not get along peacefully with the "gentiles" that lived around them.  Consider this sworn statement by Thomas Baldwin Marsh who was appointed by the "prophet" Joseph Smith as the 1st President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.   "The plan of Smith, the prophet, is to take the state and he professes to his people to intend taking the United States and eventually the whole world.  The prophet inculcates the notion and it is believed by every true Mormon, that Smith's prophecies are superior to the law of the land.  I have heard the prophet say that he would yet tread down his enemies and walk over their bodies; that if he was not left alone he would be a second Mohammed to this generation.*"  Did you catch that, "a second Mohammed to this generation"?  Sounds FAMILIAR to me there too!

There is no intent here to tell you who to vote for!  PRAY and vote for the candidate that you see as the best choice for the job of President of the United States.  Choose the candidate from the party of your choice.  There is no intent to sway you to any specific candidate.  There is a purpose to share biblical prophetic truth.  My purpose as a preacher of the Gospel of the Cross of Jesus Christ is to remind you that He is soon coming.  It is also to remind you that there is also coming a counterfeit to Jesus--an Antichrist.  He is followed by a counterfeit to the Holy Spirit--a False Prophet. His work is to empower a future counterfeit church--a "One World Ecumenical Tolerant Faith".  Eventually, even Satan, himself, is cast down here for that last few years before Jesus comes.

Conservative politics will not save America nor the souls of your loved ones.  Don't put your hope in a candidate from any political party to change things so much as to bring "revival" to America.  Revival is a matter of trusting Jesus Christ and Him crucified.  It is brought about when God's people who are called by his name humble themselves, pray, seek his face, and turn wholeheartedly to Him! There is no other eternal hope out there!  He is the only hope and Jesus is Soon2Come!

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Who's Your Daddy? The NDAA and You!

But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
1 Corinthians 8:6

"When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why they are poor, they call me a Communist."  Hélder Pessoa Câmara

  • 65 million in the People's Republic of China
  • 20 million in the Soviet Union
  • 2 million in Cambodia
  • 2 million in North Korea
  • 1.7 million in Africa
  • 1.5 million in Afghanistan
  • 1 million in communist states of Eastern Europe
  • 1 million in Vietnam150,000 in Latin America
  • 10,000 deaths "resulting from actions of the international Communist movement and Communist parties not in power."
These are the numbers of deaths that are attributed to Communism in the book,  The Black Book of Communism: Crimes, Terror, Repression,  that was edited by Stéphane Courtois.

Communism seemed like a good idea, "let's all share and share alike."  In every instance these totalitarian regimes came to power with the promise to do what was best for the people of the perspective countries above.  That is the point of the Câmara quote.  It is important to find the causes of poverty and eradicate it, but what Communist Country did this without destroying the citizens that it claimed to be aiding? In order to bring about their "great Utopian society", each government weeded out those who would bring resistance, so human beings were stripped of their rights and slaughtered like cattle.  94 million souls later, and we are still waiting for a government that can actually do what is best by and for the people.  We are looking for a government who can be your daddy better than God the Father!

Seemingly, that was what the US Constitution did; gave citizens unalienable rights that were endowed to them by their Creator.  However, the days of having an American government that supported the notion of God as our Father may be gone!  It appears it is now believed that the government can do a better job of being your daddy!  Are we now seeing the same trend towards blacklisting citizens, robbing them of their rights and property, and then hauling them off to a centralized location where they will be ushered into eternity with a bit of bureaucratic assistance?  Are we seeing a similar thought beginning to pervade decision making here in America's government?

A Khmer Rouge Killing Field--Cambodia

What if those "subversives" were Bible believing Christians?  We would need to identify them and their peculiar beliefs, such as the belief in the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ or the rapture.  We would have to show how their ideas are incendiary and seditious.  It would need to be shown how their ideas guide their thinking regardless of individual religious or political affiliation, and then show how those ideas are sneaking into governmental policy decisions.  This all sounds too far fetched to happen here in America doesn't it?  Yet that is what is going in some circles, and the ideas just expressed came from a document written by a student enrolled in the US Army war college.  While his thesis paper is hardly a matter of public policy (yet), it does prove that there are those who think that certain groups such as Bible believers are dangerous.

Next, revolutionaries would need to figure out a way to rob those citizens of their rights.  That Constitution seems to be in the way, however.  What if the Constitution is circumvented by declaring that the Continental US is a war zone?  Military commanders and government officials could then apprehend dissenters to the "your daddy is the government" idea.  Now that is just plain silly too!  Like that will happen!  It already has.  The National Defense Authorization Act that was signed into law on December 31st, 2011 declared the US a war zone.  However, the President has said that he signed it with reservations and that detaining citizens will not happen.  Do you believe him?  Even if you believe him, what prevents a future President from doing just that?

President Obama Signing the NDAA Into Law

These trends are a severe and sobering reminder that the world is quickly heading for the ultimate leader who will try to be your daddy and take care of your every need.  He will be directed by the great usurper himself, Satan who really wants to take the place of God the Father.  He is actually mimicking the Holy Trinity in the process.  He is attempting to be like God, specifically--The Father.  The Antichrist is his pathetic substitute for the Son, and the miracle working False Prophet will do his commiserable job at trying to mock the Holy Spirit.  In the process, they will unleash a hell on earth never before seen.  The death toll will be in the BILLIONS!  Those names above associated with the 94 million are just a pale shadow of the death and destruction soon to visit this planet.

Were this just a local problem, I would say we are in terrible trouble in just the US.  However, this is a situation that is happening all over the world.  Here is another example!  An Austrian court recently upheld a decision to rob a housewife of her rights because she stood against Jihadist Islam.  You can't be all "one worldy" if there are those who believe in one absolute truth now can you?
"A Black Day For Austria"

Friend, you have one Father--even God the Father!  Surrender to God today.  Accept the pardon offered to you in the person and work of Jesus Christ!  Do it quickly because not only is the Antichrist coming soon,  Jesus Christ is Soon2Come!

And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mark 13:5-6

In the post A Sad and Certain Fate, it was mentioned that overwhelming deception is the key sign of the last days before the return of Messiah.  There will be an increase in earthquakes, unusual weather, famines, pestilences, wars and rumors of wars, and other nasty signs portending that the Lord is about to return.  Jesus, however, began every discourse with a warning about deception.  It was also how he ended each sermon as well (see verses 21-23 of the quoted chapter as an example) . He did not want the world nor believers caught by the web of demonic guile.

Look carefully at verse 6 of Mark 13.  Notice that the word Christ is italicized.  In the original Greek text the normal word for Christ was not there--Χριστοῦ (Christ).  In this verse, Christ is actually the Greek word καὶ.  This word can mean; also, even, likewise, similar.  The name "Christ" is also a title that means anointed one or anointed.  It does not necessarily mean that they are saying they are Jesus--though some deluded individuals do. The KJV translators italicized this to show that the deceivers were claiming to have a similar anointing as Jesus.  They claimed to have a holy anointing on them when they did not.  In other places Jesus says that they have false anointings and are false prophets.  It is at this point many believers are deceived since most have no clue what anointing is all about.

Anointing is not being a miracle worker.  The false prophet will work miracles, but he is not anointed for God's purposes.  "And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast;"  Revelation 13:13-14a

Anointing is not about great signs and sights to woo the crowds.  Many will come working false signs to draw the unsuspecting to destruction.  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Matthew 24:24

Anointing is not the ability to elicit an emotional response that makes you feel all bubbly, determined, emotional,  or captivates your attention.  That is mere human ability to speak well.  It is not filling a stadium or a church with thousands of followers.  Jeremiah and Noah were both anointed but few followed them!  By the way, Jesus sometimes spoke and the crowds ran from his anointing.  From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. John 6:66-68

It is not about the style of the speaker.  Many saw Paul, yes Paul the Apostle, as a boring speaker.  Just because a preacher shouts, or jumps, or stands square behind a pulpit without emotion has nothing to do with anointing though most use this as the gauge to measure all preachers by.  Poor Moses, he stuttered when he preached.  Jesus didn't even stand most of the time--he sat.  No! Anointing is not the style in which a preacher preaches, the number of times he shouts amen, nor ends a sentence with aaah (as in Lordaaah).  It is not about doing cartwheels or beating the pulpit to splinters. Jonathan Edwards delivered one of the greatest sermons of all time using barely any emotion.   For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible. Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present(speaking about Paul)  2 Corinthians 10:10-11

It is not the ability to dance or shout or "the fire" or whatever else you call it. Anointing is simply the Divine ability to accomplish the task that God has for you.  It is not a special gift to a few chosen and select preachers.  It is for you to walk in too. As 2012 begins why don't you decide to walk in that anointing God has for you! Anointing is centered in the truth of scripture and grounded in holiness.  Anointed men are not out chasing women, divorcing their wives,  and then standing in a pulpit and winding up the masses.  That might be an anointing from elsewhere, but not from God.  Anointing is anchored in biblical correctness and does not teach heresy nor what itching ears want preached.  That is why Jeremiah, Noah, and Jesus often provoked anger as it was not the message the crowd wanted.

Anointing is relying on the presence of the Holy Spirit to do God's bidding and not using the arm of flesh to work for Him.  The primary focus of the true anointing is winning the lost not sharing a watered down gushy message preached with a false agenda--like fleecing the flock.  Anointing wins souls!  It is men and women walking in God's power to share a message of the hope in Christ's cross.  Don't be hoodwinked by the false and the counterfeit.  God does not anoint men to make you feel guilty if you do not empty your bank account in fear that your prayers will not be answered.  If those claiming anointing are more about building their name, their projects, and a great following at the sake of sharing the cross, well....  With such deception, assuredly Jesus Christ is Soon2Come!
