Possibilities?

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2 Thessalonians 2:11

Let's think hypothetically for just a few moments.  Let's say that you are the devil (remember!  hypothetical).  You have been in the deceiving business for several millenia, and you need to convince the world that the disappearance of millions of Christians is not that old crazy teaching they called the "rapture".  You want your excuse to sound intelligent and convincing.  Those you are deluding are, "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." (2 Timothy 3:7)  They too want to be deceived so they, "...heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears."  (2 Timothy 4:3)  You get brilliant men to share that we have been visited by beings from outer space.  They have long lists of degrees and much prestige so their foolish notions have an air of credibility.  Those same "ever learning" men who deny the creation and the flood of Noah (see 2 Peter 3 and Jude) teach that life was seeded from outer space.  OK!  I know!  It is an absurd idea.  Or is it?

For generations men have proposed ideas such as panspermia and actual alien visitation.  It sounds intelligent.  Evolution surely teaches that life may have evolved in other places in this vast universe.  Also, the world has been gradually introduced to other "brilliant" ideas such as quantum teleporters and trans dimensional shifts. Pop culture movies and television series constantly bombard humanity with the possibility that we are not alone.  Even the news keeps reporting that we are possibly being visited by UFOs on a fairly consistent basis.  The idea that the government could be hiding something and their denial of all evidence even adds an idea of credibility to the whole issue.  Surely they know something! Right?

Of course this is all just hypothetical.  No one would believe that we could travel across the vastness of space.  The nearest star is 4.37 light years away.  Even at a rate of five times the speed of light it would take nearly a year to get to the star, Alpha Centauri.  Then you would have to deal with issues of general relativity and time, the massive amounts of energy needed to get there--not to mention coming home, and of course the catastrophic failure of your craft if you hit a pebble sized object in space while travelling with such momentum.  Surely, no sane person would believe all of this.  Of course it is possible if we rip holes in the fabric of time and space and travel through these.  That would mean, in essence, time travel--it all sounds intelligent just like the Bible predicted.  Sadly, people do believe all this.  It is the kind of guff that you hold to when you reject the source of absolute truth--Jesus Christ.

Why would aliens deny Jesus and mock Him or call Him a brother alien?  Why would they say the Bible is false or call for the removal of men and women who are out of harmony with the rest of the world?  Why would they need to speak to those they visit using channeling and other age old demonic concepts?  Why would their appearance cause awful sulfur type smells like those reported when a demon manifests? Why would those that they abduct manifest the classical symptoms of demon possession or severe oppression?  Why would the aliens not abduct born again believers in Jesus?    There seems to be only one logical reason--they are demons.  They are on a vicious campaign of deception since the rapture of the church is near!

Fire Fall

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 49:2
I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, whereby they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border. Therefore as I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them. This shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the LORD of hosts.

Can you feel it?  There is something amiss in the air.  It seems to be a spirit of rebellion against God Almighty that is leading men to believe that they can determine the borders of Israel and proclaim a Palestinian state on covenant land by September.  This spirit is driving men to an encounter with the ferociousness of the LORD.  In this day of a politically correct view of a doting, loving God who is unconcerned with sin many have forgotten the message of Exodus 15:3, "The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name."  He is a God of love but never forget that He will hold men accountable for spitting on the Blood of Messiah Jesus and for mistreating those He holds covenant with.



Others are noticing too that we are on the fast track to a nuclear war in the Middle East.  Notice this article as proof.  Palestinian statehood: An even bigger 'nuclear option'  The UN seems bent on proclaiming a state within a state by September which means that the prophecies of a great fire fall are near fulfillment.  Do not be deluded!  God is behind this entire scenario and allowing the nations to rush themselves towards destruction.  The time is short and the prophetic fire is about to fall.  Prepare your heart and reach out to the lost.  Our God is about to show the entire world who really holds the power.  It isn't the UN, EU, US or any other government.  Jesus Christ the Righteous is the power!

The outcome is certain.  Israel wins an overwhelming victory against odds that are incalculable.  Whole nations disappear.  Their lands become as Sodom and Gomorrah.  As in every other encounter with the tiny God protected nation, the borders of Israel will increase.  Yet, from the ashes of this fire fall the anti-Christ will soon rise.  The world will be set up for the final seven years and the greatest event since the Cross of Golgotha--Jesus Christ returns.  

The clock is ticking child of God.  Don't be a foolish virgin!  Reach out to family and friends and compel them to come.  The great Marriage Supper of the Lamb is nearing.  He is about to call His ambassadors home before He wages total war.  Are you ready?  He is Soon2Come!

And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:

End Time Jitters?

"And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage."
Acts 28:15

We have a tendency to make our favorite Bible stars bigger than life.  Paul is no exception.  The "Super Apostle" seems to have nerves of steel and an iron will to share the truth no matter how much he is afflicted.  The Bible makes it clear, however, that Paul is like us all; just a man.  Whether it is Esther who risks her life for the Jewish people in the courts of Xerxes or Elijah at Mt. Carmel staring down a godless king and the priests of Baal or even Abraham ascending Mt. Moriah with a knife, firewood, and Isaac we make these men and women of God to be heroes without the normal emotions most of us experience in times of crisis.  God wants us to understand that they were humans with fears and cares and worries just like us.  Does it not say that Elijah was, "a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. (James 5:17)"  No! There is another source of strength that all believers--including you and me--can draw from.

Picture, if you will, going to Rome where the most powerful man on earth is about to make a judgment that could end your life.  Your goal is to win converts and maybe even start a church but this looming trial has you uneasy.  Also, imagine that God is silent as of late.  You are drawing ever nearer to Rome.  At Pazzoli (Puteoli in verse 14) you are only 112 miles from an uncertain future.  You begin to pray even while your stomach is in knots.  The trial is so noisy that it is hard to hear the Holy Spirit.  This is what Paul is facing, but God is not silent and He cares for his child, Paul, just like He cares for you.  He sends Paul encouragement from Appius and the Three Taverns (areas about 40 and 30 miles from Rome respectively).  Paul then realizes who is behind this all and he TAKES courage and blesses the sender--GOD!  The iron will and nerves of steel are not his but blessings from the presence of Christ.  

Many are so fearful of what is going on that they are trying to ignore the warning sirens of the Holy Spirit.  If you begin to speak about the coming of the Lord or the Tribulation with many people they purposefully change the subject.  Why?  Because the full unfolding of all that will happen is too uncertain and the events are terribly frightening.  Have you ever shared a message about prophecy or mentioned how a current news item shadows that last days only to find your hearer almost in tears?  None of us like the bewilderment and anxiety of the future even when God has given very clear insights into what will happen.  If that is how you feel then take courage.  To take means to grab what is offered.  God in Christ is offering you the strength you need make it through these uncertain times.  All you have to do is reach out and take it.  Like Paul you can thank God and take courage! 

 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
Acts 28:30-31
