"What will ye do in the end thereof?"

A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
Jeremiah 5:30-31

The condition of the land of Judah was so deplorable in God's eyes because the shape of the "church" was so deplorable.  It was this fact that showed the impending judgment of God was upon them soon.  Of course, we know that the Jews were not called the church at this time, but in our parallel of Jeremiah 5 to today we are investigating the church in America, and there are many ways that the church in the US is in the same condition as believers were in the days of Jeremiah.  It is this apostate church that has become ineffective, having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof.  Here are a few of the reasons that Jeremiah could not find enough righteous to convince God to hold off His hand of discipline.

False Profession--"And though they say, The LORD liveth; surely they swear falsely." Jeremiah 5:2  Many in the land had a false profession of faith in Yahweh.  They claimed "salvation" but did not manifest the fruits of an ongoing relationship with God.  Is is not the same here in America?  A recent survey of Americans found that 70% believe that they will go to heaven.  Furthermore, of those who go to church, many hold to universalism--the idea that all will eventually be saved.  Many Born-Again Christians Hold Universalist Views, Barna Finds, Christian News, The Christian Post

Wrong theology-- "They have belied the LORD, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:"  Jeremiah 5:12  At the core of universalism is an error about God and His attributes.  He is seen as so loving that He longs to graciously give heaven to all men regardless of a profession of faith.  No matter how sinful men are, a "loving" God would never judge or send men to hell.  Ancient Judah could not see that their troubles were sent by God in a loving attempt to bring repentance.  Contemporary America is following the same path.  We forget that this very loving God is also utterly holy and will not have sin in His presence.  He also is a correcting Father who will send judgment.  Maybe with the top 10 worst disasters in American history happening in the last two decades, we might ought to see if we have offended His holiness?

False teachers-- "And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them."  Jeremiah 5:13  Not only have more cults and false teachings erupted here in America in the last 100 years, but now the church has grown too undiscerning to weed the truth from the error. Judah seems to have had their share of false prophets just as we do here in the US.  Find me 10 TV "Evangelists" that plead for the lost to turn to Jesus Christ and the cross on a consistent basis.  It will be hard since the majority of teaching is self help, high esteem, get rich and satisfied in this world "preaching".

Sinful ministers-- "Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you. For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked:"  Jeremiah 5:25-28a  Part of the message of these verses is still focused on false prophets.  Please take notice of the prophets in Jeremiahs day focused on amassing wealth.  God was not impressed. He called them wicked men.  Is it me, or is it hard to find a preacher who endorses living their faith anymore?

A wrong view of ministry and service-- "... they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge." Jeremiah 5:27b
If all of the preaching is about me--then who is serving the LORD?  Who is being a servant to the lost?  Who is serving the hurting in the community?  Sometimes I think that we should take the word "service" off of a meeting at the church house since very little true service is done there!

A love of sin-- "A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so..."  Jeremiah 5:30  The people had grown so accustomed to a watered down relationship with God that they could not see that there was not a relationship at all.  God was calling for repentance, but they would not heed His call.  So HE asks the question, "and what will ye do in the end thereof?"

The Assayer's Evaluation

Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it. And though they say, The LORD liveth; surely they swear falsely. O LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.
Jeremiah 5:1-3

A video that I shared Monday and could not finish watching has had me so burdened over America.  It is absolutely apparent to anyone who understands the Bible that our nation is ever tumbling down the precipitous slope leading to an encounter with God's utter holiness. In a post last week from Isaiah 5, we examined the last few decades of our nation as they paralleled Isaiah's message to Judah before God sent final judgement.  Reading Jeremiah 5-6, I can see more parallels to Judah's demise as a nation and their inability to repent as compared to our current condition in America.  Will we heed the warnings, or will we fall under ever more severe punishment as a nation?

The word reprobate means to be rejected, refused, found spurious, or unaccepted.  As the word's origin is studied, it is found to be related to the assaying of precious metals.  Under fire, the metal is found to be unfit for the task assigned it.  It simply did not stand the test of the assayer.  In Jeremiah 6:27-30 God was looking for precious silver (symbolic of redemption and its fruits) but all He could find was brass and iron.  These two semi-precious metals are both representative of judgement.  The silver that God did find was considered "reprobate silver".  It did not meet God's standards of righteousness.  What a terrible rating for a people He called His own! God, the assayer, cast them away.  Under His ever diligent eye, where does America stand today?

Jeremiah's message begins with a similar plea similar to Abraham's prayer for Sodom and Gomorrah.  If enough righteous people could be found, God would hold back judgment.  If they would repent, as did Nineveh at the preaching of Jonah, God's disciplining hand would be stayed. God always wills to redeem before He sends His justice.  As Jeremiah looked he only found unrepentant men who could not understand that the nation had already been chastised to a certain degree in order to draw them back.  (We will investigate Jeremiah's reasons for this negative assessment in another post.)  With no one heeding the call to turn things around, God was forced to reject them and allow the nation to be crushed by Babylon.  Until May 14, 1948, Israel has never been a sovereign nation since God refused them after the preaching of Jeremiah and the other pre-exhilic and exhilic prophets.  The Jews were either dispersed or under foreign rule.  God did as he said he would do!  They exist today as a part of God's faithful covenant promises to Abraham,  David, and the remnant of the ancient nation.  This is THE sure sign that we are in the Acharit Hyamim--the last days!

Where are we today in America?  We seem to be a land unhooked from the spiritual moorings that we were founded on.  Are we crying out to God for our nation?  Some are but more are needed.  Are we seeking to win the lost?  Are we showing love and preaching the everlasting gospel to those estranged from God while revealing the truth that their sin has separated them from God?  Do we cry and weep at the injustice in the land?  Are we burdened at the ever increasing judgments upon our nation?

It is apparent that we are terribly backslidden as a people.  Christ's redeemed need to weep for the lost and cry out while sharing the only means for salvation--the cross of Jesus Christ.  We need to quit living for self and start living as His servants.  We need less of this world's trash (the fruits of the materialism that is continually preached as the signs of "God 's blessings") and more of heaven's presence in our lives.  If all we "serve" God for is more blessings, who is really being served? We need to petition God continually for our nation!  It seems we are failing the Assayer's evaluation.  Here is proof!

I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way. They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters. The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melteth in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away. Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them.

Eternal Blood

For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Leviticus 17:11

"Why did Jesus have to die?"  "Why did He have to rise again?"  These two questions were asked the other day by a young pastor who I knew understood the answers.  The query was to find scriptural support for a sermon to be delivered yesterday.  Yet, it is a question that many do not understand.  Even in the early church there was much misunderstanding and human speculation about the answers to these very questions.  So why did Jesus have to die?

God is so awesome and holy that He is unapproachable by human means.  Anyone who has sinned cannot get near to Him without incurring His holy wrath.  Even those who walked close to God in the Bible were overwhelmed by His utter holiness and glory when in His presence.  Isaiah cried, "Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts (Isaiah 6:5)."  John, who had followed Jesus for 3 years while Jesus was here on earth, could not stand in His presence when the full revelation of His power and majesty was seen at Patmos.  The man called the disciple Jesus loved could not bear the utter grandeur of the glorified Savior.  He fell at Christ's feet as if he were dead--Revelation 1:17.  If His friends and followers struggled that much to stand in His presence, where will those without forgiveness for sin stand? No wonder another friend of Christ uttered an often misunderstood question, "And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (1Peter 4:18)"

Sin is a crime to the holiness and glory of God.  At its very core it is merely selfishness.  Men prefer self interests over obedience to God and service to others.  The teaching of Jesus was in direct opposition to this and is embodied in the two greatest commandments.  We are to love God foremost and love others as ourselves. Since sin is also an eternal crime, against an eternal God, there is no way for any man to be forgiven without a substitutionary sacrifice.  God's holiness and justice demands that the penalty for sin be met.  God is not an earthly judge that slaps the wrist only to allow greater injustice.

In the Old Testament we are introduced to the shedding of blood as just such a sacrificial payment for wrongdoing.  The problem still was that these sacrifices were only temporary at best.  Remember, eternal sins can't be cleansed by that which is temporary.  Jesus, however, was not merely a man--He was God.  He was God and man at once.  He was and is fully God yet fully man.  He is the perfect High Priest.  He can be touched by our infirmities, and He can touch the heart of the Father at once.  His blood, shed for our sin, was the suitable eternal sacrifice of love needed to wash our sin away.  Without that blood, there is no forgiveness.  Let me reiterate that with scripture, "...and without shedding of blood is no remission. (Hebrews 9:22b)"

The Savior had to also be greater than the worst effect of sin--death.  Adam's purposeful disobedience brought this curse upon all humanity.  Not only was there to be physical death, but also spiritual death--separation from God--as well.  Jesus was just that--a Savior greater than sin and all of its consequences such as hell and the grave.  The second question above was the very heart of Paul's defense of the resurrection in 1 Corinthians 15.  It seems strange, but there were people in the church that did not believe in a resurrection. More than likely they were subverted by some remnants of the teaching of the Sadducee's.  Without the blood and the resurrection of Christ, you have mere religion and social works programs; most sadly, you are without forgiveness.  It took Christ's death and resurrection for us to have forgiveness and newness of life.

Because of these great blessings procured by Jesus Christ we can assuredly wait with anticipation for another great an prophetic event--the rapture of the church and the hope of eternal reward.  There is only one way--by the blood.  What world religion other than Christianity has the blood that forgives sin available today for the forgiveness of all sin which is absolutely required by God?

Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept..... Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

In That Day...

The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.
Zechariah 12:1-4

Zechariah was a post-exhilic prophet who is mentioned, along with Haggai, as ministering to the Jews returning from the Babylonian Captivity in Ezra 5.  Haggai's chief concern was the restoration of the temple (search for the posts "Drought" and "The Fruit of Confession") while Zechariah was directed by the Holy Spirit to focus on the establishment of a godly government which will have its fulfillment in the return of Jesus Christ.  Zechariah's use of "in that day..." reminds us that he was looking well past his current situation to the Day of the LORD.  It is that day that is upon us.  It is a day when all of the world's nations rush headlong into an encounter with God over the city of Jerusalem.

How can people not see that these prophesies are in the process of conclusion?  The message of the burden of Israel found in chapters 12-14 is clearly unfolding in our time, yet the majority can't see it.  Jerusalem is the very burdensome stone and the very cup of trembling Zechariah said that it would be.  The city of peace is anything but a peaceful place and the gaze of the whole world, as foreseen, is upon it.  The answer is found in 2 Peter 3:4 with this question asked by the scoffers and doubters of the last days, "Where is the promise of his coming?"  Even as the Word is coming to pass there would be a spiritual fog over the very people who are puppets in its accomplishment.  These unbelievers have seen miracles like the reformation of the nation of Israel after 2000 years of destruction and many other clearly fulfilled prophesies; however, their foolish heart is darkened to the point they can't acknowledge the God of the miracles and prophesies.

It reminds me of Xerxes in the book of Esther when he asked, "Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?"  (Esther 7:5b)  How could he ask that question about Haman?  He let Haman talk him into the edict that called for the annihilation of the Jews. That same sort of cloud of preoccupation and obsession seems to be over the vast majority of men and world leaders today.  Was he so obsessed with himself and his power that he could not see that he was being taken advantage of by his Prime Minister?  Could He not see he was a stooge in the plan of satan?

This same fog was over many at Jesus' first coming.  Surely, they recognized that this miracle worker was different than the charlatans whom they had seen before?  They even acknowledged that he had brought Lazarus from the dead after 4 days.  Yet, they conspired to kill Lazarus too as recorded in John 12:10-11, "But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death; Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus."  How could they not see that they were the assembly of the wicked prophesied of in Psalm 22 as killing the Messiah?  Here was a man like no other, but their sin blinded them to the overwhelming truth of God with them.

That is where you and I come in.  People who do not know Christ are dead in their sin.  They need a resurrection.  Dead people have no clue what is going on around them.  Those dead to what the Holy Ghost is doing are rushing themselves towards the great tribulation before the coming of Jesus.  They need praying saints to pray for their spiritual resurrection.  Since we are in the season of Passover and Resurrection Sunday wouldn't today be a great day to begin praying for the spiritually dead to arise to life in Jesus Christ?  May God bless and hear your prayers.

Some of the following news articles are strong reminders that the world is blindly rushing towards judgment.  Please pray for those who are unwittingly bringing wrath upon themselves.  They will literally bring hell on earth in the tribulation and spend eternity in the lake of fire without life in Jesus.

Grapes of Wrath Revisited

Last year I did a short article on Isaiah 5.  Since that time, I have spent many hours researching this chapter and comparing it to the current condition of the US over the last few decades.  According to this chapter alone, we are in serious trouble with the LORD!

The message of Isaiah 5 is just as relevant today as it was when the prophet delivered it to the people of Judah over 2500 years ago.  The nation of Judah was on a downward spiral towards an encounter with God’s holiness.  God, who does all things with redemption in view, was warning the people to repent or face His wrath for their unwillingness to turn around.  His judgment would be poured out in the hopes that men would reform and walk with Him as they learned of the discipline of a loving God who cares enough to correct His erring people.  It was not only for them; consequently, God wanted the people of Judah to be a witness to a lost world.  He had to correct them so that they could be that witness.

By looking at this letter we can see many parallels to the very situation that we face today in America.  Solomon was correct when he assessed that, “there is no new thing under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9d). The six woes given by the prophet Isaiah are clearly seen unveiling themselves in the last few decades of American history while showing our departure from the values of Christ that made our nation great.  Serious judgment, then, is inevitable unless severe contrition is seen in the land.  Judah did not repent, and we know that God kept His word about judgment.  Where does that leave America today?

Woe 1—Insatiable greed for worldly gain!—Isaiah 5:8-10.  His word is simple.  God is saying, “shame on you for buying up all the houses and land until there is nothing left”.  The thrust of the message is the same we hear in many pulpits today.  Prosper!  Prosper! Prosper!  It has been this way since the postwar 1950s.  The sacrifices of the Great Depression and World War II were in the rear view mirror and greed became the new gospel.  Jesus did not die so you could be sated with the temporary goods of this world.  He died to free you from sin and to make you a witness to a lost world.  Where has that truth gone?  He promised to leave them without home or land.  Will He do it again in America?

Woe 2—Live it up!—Isaiah 5:11-17.  Life is a party, so avoid boredom at all cost. That seems to be the new mantra.  Maybe that is why most “ministries” are centered on fun and excitement at the cost of discipleship and prayer.  Call a feast—fill a church.  Call a fast—watch them flee.  Isaiah warned that this would lead them into captivity, and we see a whole young generation in captivity now to the trinkets of this world rather than becoming willing and obedient followers of Jesus Christ.  Ever since the late 1950s and the early 1960s we have been in party mode.  That makes sense!  All that money from the decade before had to be spent in some pursuit now didn’t it?

Woe 3—Defiant skepticism!—Isaiah 5:18-19.  Isaiah used an illustration from farming since his message was geared to an agrarian society.   In essence he was (and is) saying that Judah was walking away from God, but they were pulling their sin behind them as if it were a cart load tied to them.  Meanwhile, they were asking questions like, “What is God going to do about it?”  When men follow greed and then regress to fulfilling their own lusts, the next logical step is to doubt God.  Isn’t that what happened to the nation during the late 1960s and early 1970s.  Outright unbelief and skepticism set in masquerading as intellectualism.  Soon, anything that was associated with Christ was to be thrown out.

Woe 4—The confusion of morality!—Isaiah 5:20.  America, like Judah, quickly eroded after the nation began to doubt the Bible.  In the 80s we were inundated with a “new morality”.  The homosexual agenda was on the rise and abortion was an established right.  The idea of sin was suddenly antiquated and anyone standing for righteousness was seen as weird.   When a society is devoted to sin, they sin presumptuously and ignore the convicting power of the word and the Holy Spirit.   They adopt their own sinful standards and then blast those who speak of true righteousness.  They rewrite the rules to suit themselves.

Woe 5—Self sufficiency and conceit—Isaiah 5:21.  When values are blurred and absolute truth is rejected, the next step is to become satisfied with self and shallow spirituality.  Who needs a God to tell you what to do—are you not your own god anyway?  In the 1990s, we began to see all of the vestiges of Christianity and Judeo-Christian belief challenged.  From the Ten Commandments, public prayer in Jesus’ name, manger scenes, and displays of crosses; all that was associated with Christ had to be challenged.  We were our own and didn’t need the old ways.  We could do it on our own.  However, when you reject light—darkness invades.  It was during this time that our nation was rocked with domestic terrorism and the beginnings of the rise of Islam along with all of the other false beliefs that were invading our nation such as the” New Age”.  Many just claimed to be proud, cosmopolitan, intellectuals who were actually beyond the idea of a “god”.

Woe 6—The systematic perversion of justice—Isaiah 5:22.  The judges of Judah were masters at mixing whiskey sours but their ideas of justice were as weak as straw.  The death of ethics and the development of pride and conceit always lead to a perverted sense of judgment.   That also is a good descriptor of the last decade or so.  One only needs to see what has gone on with the California amendment against gay marriage or other like cases to see that we have hit every woe in this nation.  Like Judah who was dispersed by Babylon, we are awaiting judgment.  There is not a seventh woe.  There is a promise, however!

Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. Isaiah 5:24-25

He is Still Holy!

"Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed." --Jesus Christ

SHHHHHHHHHHH be silent because their voices are no longer heard"

As has been mentioned many times, God is immutable and eternal.  He does not change forever.  If something was considered wicked in any book of the Bible by God then it will always be wicked in the eyes of God no matter what mankind thinks in any given generation.  Remember Genesis 11?  In this chapter the whole of humanity united themselves against God and His direction.  The world had one voice and one mind.  God saw this, came down, and made correction.  Today, many change the morality of the Bible and because so many are doing it and agreeing with a teaching in direct opposition of scripture the notion seems to be credible.  God, however, is unmoved.  Such universal shifts in the values, morals, and societal mores will accomplish exactly what happened in Genesis 11--God will come down.  Isn't that what Jesus Christ is saying above?

The above notification is not made up.  It was pulled directly from the online announcement page of a high school in the United States.  It is announcing an event that seemingly went by unnoticed.  Had this event taken place 40, 30, or even 20 years ago, parents across the nation would have risen in opposition.  Yet, this went by without notice or opposition in most places.  Friday, April 15th was the National Day of Silence for the gay rights cause.  Some (not all) schools across the nation observed a time of quietness for the GLBT cause, but the number of schools participating is growing each year.  Yes!  This has been and annual event for some time now.  It is a part of the many ominous signs that point to the nearness of the anti-Christ and the tribulation.  You can't have a united world government unless you destroy the values of whole societies and reform them to a generic bunch of garbage.  Here are a few sites that verify the "celebration".

As has happened many times in the past, God was not silent either.  Friday saw a pattern that has emerged over the years.  What is the pattern?  Whenever a nation celebrates homosexuality or abortion on a national level, catastrophe strikes.  Remember the Christchurch Earthquake just a few months ago on the heels of the Mr. Gay New Zealand contest?  Do you also remember major news outlets calling those who made the connection wicked?  Go back twenty years and look at the major GLBT events and see the connection to catastrophe for yourself.  Look at the taunts of the gay community when it claimed, just before Katrina, that God, Himself, could not stop that years Southern Decadence event--the event that Katrina shut down.  For many more connections, visit the blog of John McTernan whose address is to the left.  He has done a wonderful job tracking this since the 80s.  At any rate, we were hit by killer storms.  One news outlet had the storms being called wicked.  Isn't brainwashing children in godlessness and sin the real wickedness?

If God has changed His mind about homosexuality then He needs to resurrect Sodom and Gomorrah as he acted unjustly.  No!  God is ever holy and ever the same.  The good news is that no matter how sinful and how far from His ways you get there is a wellspring of life at the cross of Jesus Christ.  You can go to Him and be forgiven.  There is no sin so great that its power is greater than the love of God that was revealed at the cross; but remember, what God calls sin will always be sinful and need to be repented of.  He changes for no man!

Follow peace with all men, and holinesswithout which no man shall see the Lord:

Possibilities?

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2 Thessalonians 2:11

Let's think hypothetically for just a few moments.  Let's say that you are the devil (remember!  hypothetical).  You have been in the deceiving business for several millenia, and you need to convince the world that the disappearance of millions of Christians is not that old crazy teaching they called the "rapture".  You want your excuse to sound intelligent and convincing.  Those you are deluding are, "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." (2 Timothy 3:7)  They too want to be deceived so they, "...heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears."  (2 Timothy 4:3)  You get brilliant men to share that we have been visited by beings from outer space.  They have long lists of degrees and much prestige so their foolish notions have an air of credibility.  Those same "ever learning" men who deny the creation and the flood of Noah (see 2 Peter 3 and Jude) teach that life was seeded from outer space.  OK!  I know!  It is an absurd idea.  Or is it?

For generations men have proposed ideas such as panspermia and actual alien visitation.  It sounds intelligent.  Evolution surely teaches that life may have evolved in other places in this vast universe.  Also, the world has been gradually introduced to other "brilliant" ideas such as quantum teleporters and trans dimensional shifts. Pop culture movies and television series constantly bombard humanity with the possibility that we are not alone.  Even the news keeps reporting that we are possibly being visited by UFOs on a fairly consistent basis.  The idea that the government could be hiding something and their denial of all evidence even adds an idea of credibility to the whole issue.  Surely they know something! Right?

Of course this is all just hypothetical.  No one would believe that we could travel across the vastness of space.  The nearest star is 4.37 light years away.  Even at a rate of five times the speed of light it would take nearly a year to get to the star, Alpha Centauri.  Then you would have to deal with issues of general relativity and time, the massive amounts of energy needed to get there--not to mention coming home, and of course the catastrophic failure of your craft if you hit a pebble sized object in space while travelling with such momentum.  Surely, no sane person would believe all of this.  Of course it is possible if we rip holes in the fabric of time and space and travel through these.  That would mean, in essence, time travel--it all sounds intelligent just like the Bible predicted.  Sadly, people do believe all this.  It is the kind of guff that you hold to when you reject the source of absolute truth--Jesus Christ.

Spiral UFO over Norway--Dec 2009

Why would aliens deny Jesus and mock Him or call Him a brother alien?  Why would they say the Bible is false or call for the removal of men and women who are out of harmony with the rest of the world?  Why would they need to speak to those they visit using channeling and other age old demonic concepts?  Why would their appearance cause awful sulfur type smells like those reported when a demon manifests? Why would those that they abduct manifest the classical symptoms of demon possession or severe oppression?  Why would the aliens not abduct born again believers in Jesus?    There seems to be only one logical reason--they are demons.  They are on a vicious campaign of deception since the rapture of the church is near!

Look at the Rising people! Looks like 1 Thessalonians 4

According to this video, they are working overtime!

Get ready church and don't be fooled by intelligent sounding foolishness!  Jesus Christ is Soon2Come!
