Deceived

"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." Revelation 20:10

My niece played a cute trick on me today. She sent a text message from a number that I was unfamiliar with and said she needed to talk to me as soon as possible. As the message continued, it said that my name had came up in a conversation and that she really needed to tell me what was said. The catch was that I would have to call her on a cousin's phone.

Fear set in as I began to wonder what could be so important. By the time I called the second number, I had worried myself into about four different scenarios. Surely, I was going to be given some terrible news, and though I had no clue what it could be, I began to hypothesize many problems. I called the number literally terrified at what I might hear.

The voice began to say, "How to entertain an idiot." A continual loop began to play that gave details on how to keep an idiot tied up on a phone listening to a silly message.

Isn't this the devils job. He feeds us a bunch of lies, and rather check out what the word of God says, we listen to him in fear and unbelief. The longer we listen to him, the more he entertains an idiot. :)
