El Shaddai--God Almighty Reigns

God is in control.  He is totally in control.  God's sovereignty is one of the major themes of the Book of Isaiah.  It reveals that God is not just God over Israel, but He is the God of all the Earth.  Furthermore, He is the God of all creation.  God is God!

Isaiah's work is a collection of prophecies that were given over a lifetime of ministry.  As a result, whole sections of the book are devoted to specific situations that God wanted him to  address.  For instance, Isaiah 7:1 to 9:7 deal specifically with what is often called the Syro-Epraimitic crisis.  Isaiah 5, proclaimed during a feast, addresses the backslidden condition of the people.  Another large section of the book of Isaiah reveals judgments on nations surrounding Israel for their ignoring God and their wicked treatment of the people of covenant, Israel.  While many of these prophecies have been partially fulfilled, some have not.  Therefore, they make up a body of work that speaks to the world before, during and after the tribulation.  For instance, Isaiah 17:1 mentions that Damascus shall cease from being a city.  Since this has never happened and God is never wrong, we can conclude that this will soon come to pass before the Day of the Lord begins.  This same series of hints about the last days also includes current news.  Look at Isaiah 19.

The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it. And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom. And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards. And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.  Isaiah 19:1-4

  2. Apparently, You have not read all the articles on my entire blog. There is no other testimony of God but that which is found in the Bible. God sends no message that conflicts with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is also possible to preach "another Jesus". "For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him." 2 Corinthians 11:4

Here is Alma 7:10, "And behold, he shall be born of Mary, at Jerusalem which is the land of our forefathers, she being a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel, who shall be overshadowed and conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost, and bring forth a son, yea, even the Son of God." Was He born in Jerusalem? Then why does the OT prophecy that He will be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2)? Why does the New Testament attest to the fact that He was born in Bethlehem? Was the angel that delivered the book of Mormon confused? Confusion is not of God!

This conflicts with both the Old and New Testaments. Sorry! That means that the book you are following and quoting is just a book--a work of man. That is just one of many errors in both the book and the doctrine of the Mormon cult. Add to it the errors in the "Pearl of Great Price" and "Doctrines and Covenants" and we have a confusing conundrum.

Read carefully the statement of Paul under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost who inspired the entire Bible according to many scriptures, "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:8-9

Why would God, who had always inspired men by the power of the Holy Spirit, suddenly send an angel to testify of His Son when the Holy Spirit had always done it before?

God bless! I will be praying for you. Feel free to read as much as you like!

  3. God IS God. And will not share His Glory with any other, no matter how hard they try, God IS God, and we can all rest in that.
He knows the beginning from the end, and HIS TRUTH SHALL STAND, Heaven and earth may pass away, but His word remains forever.
Praise and Glory be to Him forever!
