Battle On The Horizon

"Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." Ephesians 5:16

While the majority seems to be looking towards a new year of peace and prosperity, there are many signs that a war in the Middle East is on the horizon. This year may see peace in the region, but it will be at the cost of the sudden destruction of Israel's enemies. As the scenario plays out there, it is time for all believer's to redouble their efforts and seriously work to spread the gospel to all as never before. Unfortunately, most Christians seem to comfortable accumulating the things which moths and rust corrupt. It is time to lay up special treasure in Heaven.
While Israel may be soon fighting a physical war as a part of God's prophetic purpose, Christians should be battling in the spiritual realm for the souls of men. Do you really want friends and family to miss being with God in eternity? Do you want any man to face the upcoming tribulation that awaits us on the horizon? I believe the Holy Spirit is calling us as never before to realize the fight we are and have been in. It is time, church, to turn our eyes outward to a lost and dying world and share the truth of the resurrection of a Crucified Savior to a world captivated and blinded by the forces of Hell.
